  • Patent number: 6790452
Abstract: A pigment containing particles surface treated with N-acylglycine hydroxyaluminum and/or N-acyl-N-methylglycine hydroxyaluminum, and a pigment dispersion which contains such surface treated particles and a cosmetically acceptable oily material, having excellent dispersion stability and versatility (ease of dispersion and wide range of usage), because the particles are easily and uniformly dispersed in a short period of time at a high concentration in such a cosmetically acceptable oily material, thus a cosmetic product is thereby stable as an emulsion and has better usage than existing products.

  • Patent number: 6482441
Abstract: In the present invention, the surface-treated powder (the coated powder) can be used as a powder for cosmetics. With the coated powder for cosmetics, dispersibility of the powder and the functions proper to the powder, such as adhesion to the skin, aesthetic feel (using touch), covering power, coloring power, UV or IR light shielding performance, optical characteristics (properties) and the like, may be improved significantly. In particular, the coated powder is superior in affinity to oleophilic liquids, dispersibility, and dispersion stability and may be applied to cosmetics and powders in the fields other than cosmetics.

  • Patent number: 6296860
Abstract: Pigments and extender pigments coated with a mixture comprising at least N-acyl forms of naturally existing 14 amino acids, in particular, pigments and extender pigments processed with a mixture comprising at least N-acyl forms of 14 amino acids, obtainable from or obtained on hydrolysis of any one of animal proteins, such as silk and pearl, and plant proteins, such as wheat and soybeans, which can be mixed into cosmetics, and also cosmetics comprising the coated pigments and extender pigments are provided. Such N-acyl form therein may be in the salt form. The obtained pigments and extender pigments coated therewith in the present invention has extremely smooth tactile feeling, that is an optimum affinity to skin and/or hair (biocompatibility) when used in cosmetics, excellent application feeling on skin and/or hair without coarse feeling, and hence suitable for the powders in cosmetics to be combined.
