In one implementation, the method includes providing the mobile application to the mobile communication device of the user, the mobile application having a generic platform; determining a special interest group (SIG) that is affiliated with the user; and customizing the generic platform of the mobile application based on information specific to the special interest group (SIG) that is affiliated with the user.

Abstract: A method and system for conducting an online payment transaction through a point of sale device. The method includes receiving input from a user selecting an item for purchase through the point of sale device; calculating a total purchase amount for the item in response to a request from the user to purchase the item; and sending payment authorization for the total purchase amount from the point of sale device to a payment entity, in which the payment authorization is sent to the payment entity via a mobile communication device of the user. The method further includes receiving a result of the payment authorization from the payment entity through the mobile communication device; and completing the payment transaction based on the result of the payment authorization.

Abstract: A method and system for sending an artifact to a mobile communication device of a user. In one implementation, the method includes receiving a request from an application to send an artifact to a mobile communication device of a user; retrieving personal information from a user profile of the user; retrieving a transaction history of the user, the transaction history including a history of transactions made by the user through the mobile communication device; selecting an artifact to send to the mobile communication device based on the user profile and the transaction history of the user; and sending the selected artifact to the mobile communication device.

Abstract: A method for scheduling a banking transaction using a mobile communication device. The method includes creating a task on the mobile communication device to perform a banking transaction while the mobile communication device has no network connectivity, the mobile communication device actively monitoring for an available network to access. In response to identifying an available network to access, the mobile communication device automatically connects to the available network and uploads the task to a server to complete the banking transaction.

The method includes running a mobile application on the wireless communication device, in which the mobile application is a rich client application. Abstract: A method for configuring a mobile communication device to perform transactions using a second communication channel that is different from a first communication channel through which the mobile communication device sends voice data. The method includes attaching a secure element to the mobile communication device. The secure element includes a memory storing an application, a processor configured to execute the application stored in the memory; and a wireless transceiver configured to send transaction data associated with the executed application through the second communication channel to a terminal that is remote from the mobile communication device.
