Abstract: An input device for a multiplex control signal is applied to provide one or more input position(s) for a user, where each input position generates a plurality of control signals corresponding to a plurality of input states, and an output control unit determines the output of the control signals from each the same input position according a time parameter.

Abstract: A portable electronic device has various functions such as mobile communication, multimedia entertainment, and data processing. The device includes a main body installed with two keyboards and two slide rails, and two sub-bodies respectively equipped with a display. The sub-bodies are pivoted to each other and rotate through a shaft, and slide along slide rails through connecting members on the main body respectively. Therefore, the sub-bodies can be lifted relative to the main body through the shaft and the connecting members, so as to be optionally drawn close to the main body with the two displays facing the same direction, or to stand on the main body with the two displays facing opposite directions. Therefore, two different operating modes are achieved.

Abstract: A hand-held electronic device being held by a user with a single hand for dialing or with both hands for inputting characters includes a body, a keyboard, two sensors respectively disposed on two opposite sides of the body, and a backlight source. The keyboard has keys forming a region marked with a QWERTY keyboard and a region overlapping the above region and marked with a phone keypad. The sensors detect whether the body is held by a single hand on one side or by both hands on two sides and let the backlight source light up the region marked with the phone keypad on the keyboard when the body is held by a single hand. Thus, the region marked with the phone keypad is highlighted out of the QWERTY keyboard, so it is easy for the user to identify the key numbers and dial quickly.

Abstract: A signal shielding box with a plurality of shielding covers is provided. The shielding covers are pivotally connected with a shielding case and cover one another so as to respectively conceal or expose the opening. A connector is positioned at the shielding case and is electrically connected with the wireless communication device within the shielding case. The connector is electrically connected with a measurement and analysis device out of the shielding case. The shielding covers are respectively opened and closed so as to expose and conceal the opening. Thus, a plurality of shielding effects are formed so as to shield and measure signals of the wireless communication device.

Abstract: A directional antenna and a portable electronic device using the same are provided. The directional antenna includes L-shaped radiator, L-shaped oscillator, and L-shaped reflector and it is preferred that the directional antenna is positioned at corners of the substrate. The L-shaped radiator is made resonant by the L-shaped oscillator and has higher gain to maximize performance of signal transmission. The directional antenna achieves signal transmission in a specific direction over a long distance by the L-shaped reflector. In addition, with the gravity sensor, the processor and the switches, the directional antenna is automatically adjusted to a predetermined direction to transmit and receive signals even through orientation of the electronic device is changing at any time.

Abstract: A hand-held electronic device includes a main body and a keyboard. The keyboard has a plurality of keys and is disposed on the main body. A pressing portion is constructed on the top portion of each key, and the keys are arranged into a plurality of columns and a plurality of rows. A height difference exists between the pressing portions in two adjacent rows, and every pressing portion in one row is staggered with two adjacent pressing portions in the other row, such that the distance between the keys in the two adjacent rows is the longest, thereby preventing a user from mistakenly pressing the keys when using the hand-held electronic device.
