Publication number: 20140160969Abstract: A method for communication includes recording, at a gateway to a network, a generic definition of a service provided to clients of the gateway. The generic definition specifies a first Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) on the network that is associated with the service. At least a first communication between a client and the network is processed at the gateway in order to identify at least a second URI that is referenced from the first URI in a context of the service. Responsively to at least the first communication, an extended definition of the service for the client is automatically created by adding at least the second URI to the generic definition. Use of the service is monitored by applying the extended definition to second communications conveyed by the gateway between the client and the network.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 13, 2014Publication date: June 12, 2014Applicant: Mobixell Networks Ltd.Inventors: Stefan Grefen, Yehuda Elmaliach

Patent number: 8527649Abstract: A method for communication includes providing an item of media content for streaming in a plurality of versions having different, respective bit rates. The media content is streamed from a server to a client by transmitting a first version of the item over a network at a first bit rate from the server to the client via a server buffer associated with the server and monitoring a fill level of the server buffer while streaming the media content. The server switches to transmitting a second version of the item at a second bit rate, different from the first bit rate, to the client in response to a change in the fill level of the server buffer.Type: GrantFiled: March 6, 2011Date of Patent: September 3, 2013Assignee: Mobixell Networks Ltd.Inventors: Yosef Wexler, Amir Shatz, Ilan Daniel, Yosef Ben-Tsur

Patent number: 8467457Abstract: The present invention provides controllers, systems and methods that apply techniques for determining signal sequence characteristics that propagate through a sequence of buffers. One of the buffers represents buffering characteristics of a network through which the signal sequence propagates. The signal sequence may include packets of a media stream and the network may include a wireless network.Type: GrantFiled: January 15, 2008Date of Patent: June 18, 2013Assignee: Mobixell Networks (Israel) LtdInventors: Yohai Falik, Eran Vered

Patent number: 8145656Abstract: A method for matching media objects includes receiving a plurality of reference objects, and computing respective reference feature vectors (104, 106) of one or more of the reference image frames (86, 88) in each of the reference objects. Upon receiving a query object, a respective query feature vector (110) of at least one of the query image frames is computed. The reference feature vectors are searched to find one or more candidate objects among the reference objects, such that a respective reference feature vector of one of the reference image frames in each of the one or more candidate objects matches the query feature vector. At least one additional reference image frame is compared to at least one additional query image frame in order to determine that one of the candidate objects is a match for the query object.Type: GrantFiled: February 4, 2007Date of Patent: March 27, 2012Assignee: Mobixell Networks Ltd.Inventors: Amir Shatz, Yosef Wexler, Ran A. Cohen, Dan Raudnitz

Patent number: 8073275Abstract: A computer-implemented method for image adaptation includes accepting a digitally-represented input image and a target size requirement. The input image is modified by optimally determining at least one of a resolution of the input image and a quality of the input image, the quality defining an amount of information allocated to represent each pixel value of the input image, so as to produce a compressed output image meeting the target size requirement.Type: GrantFiled: February 5, 2006Date of Patent: December 6, 2011Assignee: Mobixell Networks Ltd.Inventors: Amir Shatz, Yair Hougui, Dan Raudnitz

Publication number: 20100118190Abstract: A method for content delivery includes receiving a request for delivery of a still image to a client terminal. A promotional image is selected to be delivered to the client terminal together with the still image. The still image and the promotional image are processed together so as to create an image sequence containing the still image and the promotional image in a moving picture format. Responsively to the request for delivery of the still image, the image sequence is delivered over a network for display in the moving picture format by the client terminal.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 29, 2008Publication date: May 13, 2010Applicant: Mobixell NetworksInventors: Roni Salfati, Ron Perry, Gadi Inon, Amir Shatz

Publication number: 20090017827Abstract: A computer-implemented method is provided, including sending, to a plurality of mobile communication devices, respective messages that include respective message contents that differ from one another and respective human-readable instructions to dial a telephone number common to the messages. A telephone call placed to the telephone number is received from one of the mobile communication devices. One of the messages is identified as most recently sent to the one of the mobile communication devices. A call destination is selected responsively to the most recently sent one of the messages, and the telephone call is routed to the selected call destination. Other embodiments are also described.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 19, 2008Publication date: January 15, 2009Applicant: Mobixell Networks Ltd.Inventors: Ron Perry, Assaf Ben-Yossef, Oz Levanon

Publication number: 20090019149Abstract: A computer-implemented method for tracking multimedia content includes generating a first feature vector of a first multimedia object, extracting a second multimedia object from a transmission of digital traffic, generating a second feature vector of the second multimedia object, and determining a similarity of the second feature vector to the first feature vector. Responsively to the similarity, the second multimedia object is identified as an instance of the first multimedia object.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 13, 2006Publication date: January 15, 2009Applicant: Mobixell NetworksInventors: Ran A. Patent number: 7177474Abstract: A method for converting video from a first format into a second format, the method including decoding into a series of frames video that is encoded in a first format, mapping the colors represented in the frames into a palette having fewer colors than the number of colors represented in the frames, removing noise from the frames, selectably removing at least one frame from the sequence, and re-encoding the sequence using the fewer colors into a second video format.Type: GrantFiled: November 10, 2004Date of Patent: February 13, 2007Assignee: Mobixell Networks Inc.Inventors: Yair Hougui, Vladislav Novikov

Patent number: 6922732Abstract: A method for class-based per-flow queuing for use with multiple link-sharing hierarchies, where each one of multiple link-sharing hierarchies imposes a different resource allocation program at one or more levels of differentiation, extending from the link root node to each individual data flow. A new queuing decision layer is introduced that considers all hierarchies simultaneously and arrives at a single queuing solution.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 2001Date of Patent: July 26, 2005Assignee: Mobixell Networks Inc.Inventors: Yehuda Elmaliach, Asher Besserglick
