  • Patent number: 10925192
Abstract: Machine learning techniques provide predictions of computer system load and cooling requirements, allowing cooling systems to anticipate, prepare for, and ameliorate, those requirements. Techniques provide confirmation or denial that the computer and cooling systems are operating as expected, allowing those systems to determine if any parts are failing. Techniques provide information regarding likely effect due to proposed changes. Techniques provide probabilistic predictions, well in advance, of whether parts will fail or degrade. Techniques provide probabilistic predictions whether parts will fail or degrade, responsive to degrees of redundancy, set points for of cooling, or set points when cooling starts or ends.

  • Patent number: 10917263
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for providing a configurable, object-oriented, protocol-neutral interface between a physical device and a server. The method includes coupling an application gateway with the physical device, where the application gateway includes a protocol gateway module configured for physical communication with the physical device, and an object adapter module configured for virtual communication between the physical device and a client application running on a server. The method further includes configuring a service starter to launch and bind the object adapter module with the protocol gateway module, configuring the protocol gateway module to define the physical interface between the physical device and the protocol gateway, and establishing communication between the protocol gateway module and the physical device, such that the physical device is exposed as a network device on the server.

  • Patent number: 10067549
Abstract: Methods and devices are disclosed herein for creating a computed device. The computed device can be based on a predetermined relationship between a plurality of computed points. The computed points can be based on values of power attributes received from networked power consuming devices. An alarm can be associated with the computed device.

  • Publication number: 20060136558
Abstract: A method and a system for the off site monitoring/diagnostics, command/control, alarm/event management, historical/trend analysis, and configuration/administration of building automation systems through an event manager for use in a facilities monitoring system having network-level and protocol-neutral communication with a physical device. The method includes managing a non internet protocol-based physical device, including coupling a device gateway with the physical device, wherein the device gateway is configured to expose the physical device as a networked device on a server. The method also includes receiving event information from the coupled physical device, wherein the event information includes an event and a device identifier; responsive to a determination that the event information includes an actionable event, processing the event, the device identifier, and the actionable event to determine a responsible process; and notifying the responsible process of the event.
