Abstract: Various example embodiments relate to guiding a user of a medical laser device by voice based on monitored treatment data. In addition, a voice control procedure for operating the medical laser device with improved safety is provided. Improved usage of the medical laser device is enabled also in situations where there is a limited visual and physical access to control the device. An apparatus, a method, a theranostic system and a computer program are disclosed.

Abstract: A method and a system for light-activated drug delivery. An optical probe is coupled to a tissue for transmitting light signals to the tissue for actuating and/or monitoring drug delivery with a multi-phase method for drug delivery. A first light signal is transmitted through the optical probe for actuating and/or monitoring the drug delivery and a second light signal having a different wavelength is transmitted, simultaneously with the first light signal, through the optical probe for actuating and/or monitoring the drug delivery.

Abstract: A theranostic laser system for light-activated drug delivery and monitoring. The system includes a light source, a light receiver and a coupler for simultaneously coupling a first optical delivery fiber to the light source for transmitting one or more first downstream light signals from the light source to the first optical delivery fiber and to the light receiver for transmitting one or more first upstream light signals from the first optical delivery fiber to the light receiver.

Abstract: Various example embodiments relate to guiding a user of an ophthalmic laser therapy treatment device based on non-speech sounds in response to changes of a monitored laser spot size. A device may be configured to calculate a required parameter change of the current laser spot size to achieve a required laser spot size. The device may further determine characteristics for the non-speech sounds indicative of the required change for the user. Hence, quick and intuitively provided user inputs may be enabled to set the required laser spot size during treatment. A device, a method, a system and a computer program are disclosed.
