Abstract: A faucet incorporating vandal resistant features is provided to limit the possibility of tampering by limiting access to the valve cartridges of the faucet. The faucet includes a valve cartridge and a handle bat operatively attached to the valve cartridge. A hub covering the valve cartridge is freely rotatable about the valve cartridge, and a mechanical fastener attaching the handle bat to the valve cartridge includes a specially-configured driver pattern.
Abstract: A faucet wand includes a waterway having a body with a cavity therein. A plate is attached to the body to cover the cavity and form a conduit in the waterway.
Abstract: A mounting mechanism is provided for securing an article to a wall. The mounting mechanism can include an insertion member, a base member, and a tab member. The insertion member has at least one hub formed thereon. The base member has a flange and at least one arm depending from the flange. The flange defines an insertion hole, and the at least one arm includes a guide. When the insertion member is provided in the insertion hole, the guide receives the at least one hub. The guide directs movement of the insertion member relative to the base member. The insertion member and the base member include a ratchet mechanism for maintaining the position of the insertion member relative to the base member. The ratchet mechanism can include a pawl formed on the at least one hub and at least one indentation provided on the guide. The pawl can interact with the at least one indentation. The tab member can be removably coupled to the insertion member.
Abstract: A system for mounting a frame (e.g., a mirror frame) allows the frame to be easily installed, securely mounted and readily replaced without damaging the mounting surface (e.g., the surrounding wall or mirror) or the frame. No tools are required to mount or unmount the frame. The mounting hardware is concealed within the frame.
Abstract: A spray apparatus comprises a housing having a fluid inlet, a plurality of tubes for dispensing fluid from the housing, and an integrating member operatively coupled to at least a subset of the plurality of tubes for effecting coordinated movement of the coupled tubes in response to movement of the integrating member. An actuator, such as a turbine or an adjustable control ring, is employed for inducing movement of the integrating member. The dispensing tubes may be flexible so as to allow for easy adjustment of the fluid-dispensing direction or shape by the application of a lateral force at one or more locations along the length of the tubes. The flexibility also facilitates amplified direction/shape changes (compared to rigid dispensing tubes) in the dispensed fluid streams, e.g., when the tubes are subjected to a lateral force on one side and an opposing pivoting force (axially offset from the lateral force) on the other side.
Abstract: A faucet includes a spout body formed by joining an upper body and a lower body to one another. A one-piece spout tube is secured to the upper body. For example, only a cartridge seat and an aerator of the faucet are used to hold the spout tube in the upper body. Water supply hoses connected to the cartridge seat bring hot and/or cold water from a water supply source to a valve cartridge interfaced with the cartridge seat. The water flows from the water supply source, through the water supply hoses, the cartridge seat, the valve cartridge, and the spout tube, and out the spout body through the aerator. The valve cartridge allows a user to control a flow rate and/or temperature of the water delivered through the spout tube and out the spout body.
