Abstract: The present invention relates to a food composition comprising Suaeda japonica as an active ingredient for preventing or alleviating diabetes, and to a method for preparing the composition. When Suaeda japonica powder of the present invention is administered to OLETF mice in which obesity and diabetes are naturally induced during growth due to a defect of the CCK-1 gene, an increase in blood glucose and production of glycosylated hemoglobin are inhibited, and the effect of improving glucose tolerance is exhibited. Also, a high blood level of adiponectin, which relates to an improvement in insulin sensitivity and to the recovery of glucose metabolism function, is maintained, and antidiabetic activity, specifically, the effect of alleviating or preventing diabetes, is excellent.

Abstract: Provided is a functional composition for preventing an Alzheimer's disease, in which the composition includes heat-treated salt that is heat-treated at 800° C. to 1200° C. as an effective component and other pharmaceutically or sitologically acceptable components. The composition can prevent an Alzheimer's disease by effectively blocking the cause path of an Alzheimer's disease in a human body.

Abstract: Provided is a gastritis and gastric ulcer-treating agent, which is prepared and developed by processing solar salt and bamboo tree into heat-treated purple salt, in which the heat-treated salt, which is prepared by firstly heat-treating mineral rich solar salt and bamboo tree at a high temperature, that is, 1,100° C. or more; and two or more time repeating the heat-treating of the first heat-treated salt and bamboo tree under the above-described conditions, includes a large amount of hydrogen sulfide-producing material and has a purple color, and when the heat-treated salt is used along with aspirin, the heat-treated salt has an excellent effect on preventing stomach damage, thereby significantly reducing bleeding, ulcer, and the damage of mucous membrane, induced by aspirin.
