Abstract: A coating composition is shown and described herein. The coating composition comprises: the (meth)acrylic polymer containing at least one active hydrogen (a), the epoxy silane oligomer composition (b), emulsifier (c), titanium oxide particles (d), a siliceous particulate filler (e) and water (f) optionally one or more additives, where the epoxy silane oligomer composition comprises 5 to 15 weight percent monomer, 5 to 20 weight percent dimer, 5 to 20 weight percent trimer and 45-85 weight percent poly-oligomers components. The coating composition can provide a water-based coating composition exhibiting early water resistance such that defects in the coating are minimized if exposed to water prior to the coating being fully cured.
Abstract: A curable silicone adhesive composition comprising adhesion promoter is shown and described herein. The adhesion promoter is a silicon hydride material containing an aromatic based skeleton with another adhesion promoter to provide a silicone material that is curable at relatively low temperatures and shorter time and provides good adhesion to plastics and metal.

Abstract: A moisture-curable composition is shown and described herein. The moisture-curable composition comprises a moisture-curable resin and a moisture scavenger selected from a cyanoalkylalkoxysilane. The inclusion of the cyanoalkylalkoxysilane in the moisture-curable composition has been found to effectively scavenge moisture and control the rate of curing and viscosity increase in the composition.

Abstract: Reactive poly(fluoroalkyl-functional siloxane) oligomers, method of making the same, and compositions comprising the same are shown and described herein. The reactive poly(fluoroalkyl-functional siloxane) oligomers are is derived from a hydrolysable fluoroalkyl-functional silanes. Coating compositions comprising reactive poly(fluoroalkyl-functional siloxane) oligomer(s) may be used to form a coating or a film on a substrate and impart hydrophobic and/or oleophobic properties. The reactive poly(fluoroalkyl-functional siloxane) oligomer are more hydrophobic and oleophobic and show better chemical resistance than the hydrolysable fluoroalkyl-functional silane.

Abstract: There is provided herein a method and an apparatus for producing an isocyanatoorganosilane which method includes feeding a carbamatoorganosilane to a cracking device where it is thermally dissociated into a reaction product mixture comprising isocyanatoorganosilane, alcohol, and heavies, followed by separating the mixture in a distillation column of two parts and collecting the isocyanatoorganosilane from the distillation column via a side stream having a predetermined location between the top and bottom parts of the column; and wherein the distillation column is configured to have a ratio of the length of the bottom part of the distillation column to the length of the top part of the distillation column which is effective to provide a side stream having a high purity and high weight percent of isocyanatoorganosilane.
