  • Patent number: 4006569
Abstract: In assembling mirrors, glass panels and the like in the channel of a frame member where resilient gaskets are employed to protect the panel, the gasket is secured in the frame section by means of providing on at least one wall of the frame member an upstanding leg which is spaced from the upper portion of the wall to define a longitudinally running slot. The gasket is adapted for securement by a shoulder formed on the upper edge of the gasket wall disposed adjacent the slot and a depending flap carried by the shoulder which is received in the slot to securely lock the gasket in the channel of the frame member to prevent misalignment of the gasket during insertion of the panel in the frame member.
