Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method and device for obtaining, viewing and marking maps in real time. Maps are obtained from a list of maps, the maps are then viewed on interactive tabletop displays allowing a user to visualize a mapped location and “markup” points on the map. The markup data is captured as a small file and sent out to responders via rapid transmission in both real time as it is developed or as final actionable information. The maps employed in the present invention include land maps or building floor plans that are either in paper or digital formats.

Abstract: Flexible film or strip dosing device and method for various therapeutic applications are disclosed. The device includes at least one film or strip and a packaging container for the film or strip. The film or strip normally include a polymer base with or without a therapeutic agent admixed with the polymer base. The film or strip is printed with doses, marks or calibrated lines to indicate different length of the film and therefore the different doses of the therapeutic agents. The packaging container or dispenser can have marks or calibrated lines similar to a ruler which measures the length of film and therefore the different doses of therapeutic agents. The packaging container may have a built-in cutter to conveniently cut the film or strips as needed for flexible dosing of therapeutic agents.
Abstract: The present invention is a fast indexing technique that builds an indexing structure based on multi-level key ranges typically for large data storage systems. The invention is explained based on the B+-tree. It is designed to reside in main memory. Point searches and range searches are helped by early termination of searches for non-existent data. Range searches can be processed depth-first or breath-first. One group of multiple searches can be processed with one pass on the indexing structure to minimize total cost. Implementation options and strategies are explained to show the flexibility of this invention for easy adaption and high efficiency. Each branch of any level has exact and clear key boundaries, so that it is very easy to build or cache partial index for various purposes. The inventive indexing structure can be tuned to speed up queries directed at popular ranges of index or index ranges of particular interest to the user.
Abstract: The method manipulates the chemical mechanism of the toxicity of arsenic in humans, which involves the binding of arsenic by thiols on proteins and peptides, to remove arsenic from water. PET vessels and/or acrylic resins are treated with thiols which in turn bind arsenic to remove arsenic from water.
