Abstract: A method and system to control at least one audio/video recording system. A first embodiment is a method to control at least one audio/video recording system. The method includes receiving audio/video stream, storing the audio/video stream in a storage module, and synchronizing the recording of the one or more audio/video files by a media burner module on recording media, such as a DVD, flash memory, or an equivalent non-volatile recording medium. A second embodiment is a system having modules for the acquisition of audio/video signal, modules for storing the audio/video files in a storage module, and a module for synchronizing the recording of the audio/video files by a media burner module on recording media. These embodiments can be applied in several wired and wireless communication applications, even combinations of wired and wireless technologies including, but not limited to, IEEE 802.16 wireless applications.
Abstract: A method and system to utilize an audio/video server in storing real time, previously recorded or otherwise obtained media data to one or more conventional storage device and making this stored media data available to media playback devices on a network. A first embodiment is a method to operate a video server including recording audio/video data to a storage module coupled to the a video server through at least one standardized port module, determining a need to provide a video file to the one or more playback devices; reading a video file from a storage module coupled to the video server through at least one standardized port module; and providing a version of the video file to one or more playback devices. The version of the video file can optionally be a trans-coded version of the video file, with a new video format, compression, bitrate, or combination of the preceding.

Abstract: A method and system to control at least one video resource daisy-chain access system. A first embodiment is a method to operate a video resource daisy-chain access system. The method includes requesting from a coordinator access instructions to receive a broadcast stream from a broadcast source; connecting to the broadcast source, or one of the re-broadcasting clients already receiving the broadcast stream, as instructed by the coordinator; optionally registering with the coordinator as a potential re-broadcasting source for new clients; optionally accepting connection requests from new clients for re-broadcasting of the received broadcast stream; and playing back on the client the received broadcast stream. A second embodiment is a video resource daisy-chain access system.
