Abstract: The invention relates to a method and apparatus for developing a business and/or technical architecture of an organization. The invention includes the ability to identify and create specific elements which are required for a specific architecture framework and putting these specific elements together within a set of models or views, and allowing access through a visual representation of the architecture framework, along with an apparatus comprising the technical features to accommodate the method allow selection of one or a number of elements to generate further visualizations and/or links to further database or operating tools while allowing interaction with know organizational representations.

Abstract: The invention to which this application relates is the provision of a method and apparatus which allows the graphical representation of organizations and the interpretation of business structures and in particular allows the representation of variants within said business structures and allows these variants to be dealt with in an organized and more efficient manner than is conventionally possible. Thus, several different variants of an organizational model can be created and compared. Typically all of the variants include the components, interfaces, references and elements of the original organizational model.

Abstract: A method for generating a system and, the system itself, which allows the selective access to and retrieval of data from a number of data resources. The system comprises a host system via which a user can make a request for data, and with reference to the request, the host system selects, using a series of activators held therein, those data resources, referred to as target systems, which are required to be accessed. The interface between the host and target systems and the generation and display of the retrieved data is controlled so as to provide the data to the user in the contextual format.
