Abstract: A tip force monitoring and annunciation means which permits maintaining proper tip pressure during treatment of self-applied acoustic wave treatment for various parts of the user's body by an untrained user. The several embodiments of the disclosure employ designs, materials, and manufacturing methods which are inexpensive and consistent with current manufacturing practices. The functionality, size, cost, simplicity, ease of use, reliability and robustness of the proposed designs are all advantageous.
Abstract: A device which utilizes low intensity extracorporeal shock therapy for purposes of treating tissue, to permit a simple, inexpensive, robust, home use solution which permits self-applied treatment for various parts of the user's body with a form factor, display, information, guidance, tutorials and training, marketing communication and purchase opportunities, viewing angle, timers, annunciators, sound attenuation, and payment options which provide an untrained amateur user with all tools and guidance necessary to properly, effectively, safely and affordably self-administer treatments.
Abstract: A device which utilizes low intensity extracorporeal shock therapy for purposes of treating soft tissue damage, cellulite reduction, or erectile dysfunction, to permit a simple, inexpensive, robust, home use solution which permits self-applied treatment for various parts of the user's body with a form factor, display, information, guidance, tutorials and training, marketing communication and purchase opportunities, viewing angle, timers, annunciators, sound attenuation, and payment options which provide an untrained amateur user with all tools and guidance necessary to properly, effectively, safely and affordably self-administer treatments.
Abstract: A treatment device includes a housing, a motor disposed within the housing, a drive shaft driven by the motor and configured to translate along a first axis, a compression spring concentric with the drive shaft, a helical cam having a flat end, and an irregular end, the drive shaft passing through the helical cam from the flat end to the irregular end, the helical cam being configured for rotational movement, but being prohibited from translation along the first axis, and at least one cam follower directly coupled to, and in contact with, the drive shaft and configured to travel along the helical cam, the at least one cam follower being configured to translate along the first axis.
Abstract: A treatment device includes a housing having a longitudinal axis extending between a proximal end and a distal end, a motor, a drive shaft operatively coupled to the motor, a compression spring at least partially disposed about the drive shaft, a helical cam disposed adjacent the compression spring, the helical cam having at least one discontinuity, a hammer coupled to the helical cam and moveable therewith, and a tip disposed adjacent the distal end.
Abstract: A treatment device includes a housing having a longitudinal axis extending between a proximal end and a distal end, a striking element disposed within the housing and moveable along the longitudinal axis, a tip disposed adjacent the distal end, and a nose cone disposed about at least a portion of the tip, the tip being moveable within the nose cone.
