Abstract: A bracket for retro fitting running boards to existing motor vehicles comprises a rigid Z-shaped, main body which is connected at an upper end to the underside of the vehicle and at a lower end to a running board. A relatively flexible strap which extends upwardly from the lower portion of the Z-shaped body is connected to the rocker panel of the vehicle body.

Abstract: A programmed conversation recording system utilizes distinctive control signals to condition voice actuated circuitry to respond to silence intervals, pause intervals, and speech length intervals to select and start the appropriate prerecorded message for creating a facsimile of a live conversation with an unrehearsed and untrained respondent.

Abstract: A line activity monitor for a plurality of telephone lines operates to record a log for each call indicative of the time at which the telephone line entered each of a plurality of states during the call. In this way, complete information regarding line usage is recorded for each call, and the use of averages or summary statistics is avoided. Detailed analysis can then be applied to the information contained in the logs, tailored to the individual application. The disclosed line activity monitor also acts to record a coded signal with each log. This coded signal is generated by an operator following the answering of an incoming call, and can be used to indicate the purpose of the call to further enhance the line usage statistics developed from the information in the logs.

Abstract: A stem nut for driving a valve stem is coaxially rotatable within a drive collar which is offset from the axis of a nutating drive motor. The drive motor and the drive shaft are coupled together for rotation by means of readily interchangeable sprockets driven by a roller chain. The coaxial stem nut and the drive collar are releasably locked together by removable pins. When the pins are removed, the stem nut permits the valve stem to be directly operated with a wrench or the like. The stem nut is readily removable from the offset drive assembly by releasing a snap ring.

Abstract: A call distributor for use with a plurality of telephone lines is described which includes an automatic telephone answering machine which interrogates the calling party with a prerecorded message and transmits the calling party's response to this message to a recorder. The recorded response is then replayed to an operator who intercepts the call in order to converse with the calling party after auditing the recorded response. The call distributor of this invention thereby combines the flexibility of an operator assisted call distributor with the efficiency of automatic interrogation of the calling party.
