  • Patent number: 5458073
Abstract: In the cylinder-bed type sewing machine of the invention, a cylinder unit is provided. A feed base support, a feed base, and a feed dog which are disposed in the cylinder unit are reciprocally rotated in vertical and lengthwise directions in accordance with movements of a feed lifting rock shaft and a feed lengthwise shaft. The vertical and lengthwise reciprocal movements of the feed base are synthesized so that the feed dog is moved along an arcuate feeding locus. According to the cylinder-bed type sewing machine of the present invention, the peripheral length of the cylinder unit for holding a tubular sewing product which is fitted onto the cylinder unit, and the distance between a throat plate and the left end of the cylinder unit can be reduced as much as possible, and the feed dog can be moved along the arcuate locus. Therefore, a predetermined feeding operation on the sewing product can be conducted surely and smoothly.

  • Patent number: 4779549
Abstract: A pin tucking device for forming a plurality of pleats-like folds on a fabric has a flat base plate for fixing guide plates in position in cooperation with guide-plate mounting plates. One of the guide-plate mounting plates which is mounted on the base end-side of the base plate has kerfs spaced wider from one another than those of the other guide-plate mounting plate which is mounted on the front end side, so that it is possible to effectively cope with any change in needle intervals in the pin tuck sewing machine by hook portions of the guide plates being brought into engagement with the kerfs. Further, by engaging and disengaging the guide plates relative to the guide-plate mounting plates through such engagment and disengagement of the hook portions it is possible to vary the number of guide plates and thus to change the intervals of pleats-like folds in various different ways.

  • Patent number: 4766825
Abstract: In a pin-tucking device for forming a plurality of pleats-like folds on a fabric, guide-plate mounting plates have comb-like kerfs for engaging and disengaging hook portions of guide plates so that guide plates may be varied in number to change the intervals of the pleats-like folds in various different ways. Frame shaped based plates permit easy removal of fabric jamming or the like trouble without the necessity of the base plates being put out of assembly. The guide-plate mounting plates are mounted to the base plates by fixing plates. The device is easy to manufacture and economical.

  • Patent number: 4667611
Abstract: A sewing device for use in multi-needle sewing machine comprising a plurality of needles, presser feet, throat plates, feed dogs and loopers arranged in parallel with each other, and optionally a plurality of spreaders arranged in parallel with each other. Each needle holder on which each needle is set is supported on a needle bed in a manner slidable in the direction of the row of needles and is fixed to any slided position by tightening each set screw. Each interval between needles are changed by changing the fixing position of each needle holder. Each presser foot, throat plate, feed dog, looper and spreader are respectively held by the presser foot holder, throat plate holder, feed dog holder, looper holder and spreader holder in a slidable manner along the direction parallel with the row of needles, and are fixed to the required positions corresponding to each of changed needle interval.
