Abstract: Provided is a jelly for assisting in taking a drug that reduces a possibility of aspiration and makes it possible to deliver a drug efficiently to the digestive tract without remaining in the throat. Contained are a gelling agent including LM pectin, agar, and other thickening polysaccharide and a gelling promoter to gel and is taken mixed with the drug when taking the drug; LM pectin is contained 1-3 wt % relative to the jelly for assisting in taking the drug; the properties at 20±2° C. of a jelly produced by chopping the jelly for assisting in taking the drug are a hardness of 2000-6000 N/m2, adhesiveness of 200-500 J/m3, and cohesiveness of 0.2-0.6; and the water separation from the jelly 10 minutes after chopping the jelly for assisting in taking the drug is 3 wt % or less relative to the jelly for assisting in taking the drug.

Abstract: To provide a medication storage cell that can be easily opened by a person who cannot dexterously move his or her fingertips. A small-medication storage cell (12) is provided with an accommodating section (20) and an interlocking piece (22). The accommodating section (20) has an outlet for a medication (100). The outlet (30) is formed using a sheet (60) provided with an interlocking piece, and a cover sheet (62). The interlocking piece (22) has a base section (40) and a tip end section (42). At least a part of the base section (40) is separated from the surface of the accommodating section (20). The tip end section (42) is fastened to the accommodating section (20) in a bent state so that the cover sheet (62) and the sheet (60) provided with an interlocking piece close the outlet (30).

Abstract: A container for an orally ingested pharmaceutical composition has, in a container body, a pharmaceutical composition chamber, a chamber for an auxiliary substance for the pharmaceutical composition chamber, and a chamber for the auxiliary substance for a cap. The container for an orally ingested pharmaceutical composition is provided with said cap in addition to a container body. An inter-chamber portion seals the pharmaceutical composition chamber from the chamber for the auxiliary substance for the chamber. A boundary portion seals the chamber for the cap auxiliary substance from the inside of the cap. By the inter-chamber portion and the boundary portion being bent, one end of the container body is removably inserted into the cap.

Abstract: In order to reduce the labor associated with the administration of a medication or the like to a patient via a tube, while ensuring that the medication can be administered with at least the same degree of safety and accuracy as in the past, a container for administering a medication is provided with a storage section and a discharge section. The storage section has an inlet. The container for administering a medication is further provided with a sealing part. The sealing part seals the boundary section between the storage section and the discharge section, and opens the boundary section when the storage part is subjected to a force of a prescribed magnitude or greater while a mixture is stored therein. The discharge section can be connected to a tube. In addition to the inlet, the storage section is also provided with an inlet opening/closing part.

Abstract: A material to be dried is frozen and is efficiently freeze-dried in a short time, thereby increasing production efficiency. A freeze-drying apparatus includes a vertical tube (2) having an inner circumferential surface formed with a frozen surface (2a), a liquid-supply device (5) for supplying a liquid material to be dried (47) onto the frozen surface (2a), a freezing device (10) arranged around the vertical tube (2) and intended for cooling the frozen surface (2a), a pressure-reduction device (12) which puts an interior area of the vertical tube (2) into a state of vacuum, and an internal heating device (41) in the vertical tube (2). The internal heating device (41) is arranged in the vertical tube (2) along a center axis thereof, and has an outer surface formed with a vertically long circular-cylindrical radiation surface (43).

The enclosing member has a wall part. The wall part is formed by rolling the edible film into a tubular shape. The wall part has a part where the edible film overlaps. The part where the edible film overlaps is formed by rolling a single edible film sheet.

The guide cylinder (14) has a mid portion at which a roughly crushing device (15) and a first open-close valve (18) are arranged in order from above. The guide cylinder (14) has a portion above the first open-close valve (18), to which portion the liquid-supply device (5) is connected through a liquid-recovery passage (19) so as to recover excessive dried material to the liquid-supply device (5). The liquid-recovery passage (19) is additionally provided with a second open-close valve (20). A heating-freezing device (10) is disposed around the vertical tube (2) so as to control a temperature of the inner surface of the vertical tube (2).

Abstract: The present invention provides a powder filling apparatus which can prevent a screw portion of an auger screw from contacting an inner surface of a metering portion at a funnel lower end portion and besides facilitate the assembling work as well as can be made compact and put into practice at a low cost. The powder filling apparatus comprises a funnel (2) which contains powder, and a circular-cylindrical metering portion (3) provided at a lower end portion of the funnel (2), an auger screw arranged vertically, and a support device (5) which supports the auger screw (4) rotatably. The auger screw (4) has a lower end provided with a screw portion (18) which is arranged within the metering portion (3). The funnel (2) is suspended from the support device (5) and supported thereto and the metering portion (3) has a center axis (3a) made substantially coincident with an axis of rotation (4a) of the auger screw (4).
