Publication number: 20090280380Abstract: A proton conducting membrane for a fuel cell or a reactor based on fuel cell technology, consisting of a thin glass plate that allows for migration of protons from one side of the membrane to the other. Such a membrane is not affected by reactants that are common in DMFC cells, and is not permeable to ions other than protons/hydroxonium ions, and it does not conduct electrons. The glass may be ordinary soda lime glass and may be doped with silver chloride. Furthermore, a catalyst that is essential for conducting one of an anodic reaction and a cathodic reaction in the fuel cell or the reactor can be fused in the glass surface on one side of the membrane, and the catalyst that is essential for conducting the other reaction can be fused in the glass surface on the other side of the membrane.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 14, 2007Publication date: November 12, 2009Applicant: Morphic Technologies Aktiebolag (Publ.)Inventors: Olof Dahlberg, Alf Larsson

Publication number: 20090202868Abstract: A DMFC fuel cell, in which liquid methanol is oxidised to carbon dioxide and water, the methanol is exposed to an anodic reaction using a catalyst, the reaction products are led to a second step, where an anodic reaction is performed using a catalyst, and the reaction products from the second step are led to a third step, where an anodic reaction is performed using an optimal catalyst. The three reaction steps are connected flow-wise in series in a fuel cell unit, and the supply of oxidant is controlled such that the reactions on the anodic and the cathodic sides are in stoichiometric balance with each other in every step. Hydrogen peroxide is preferably used as an oxidant. Liquid ethanol can be used as fuel. The ethanol is oxidised to carbon dioxide, and methanol and in the second unit the methanol is oxidised to carbon dioxide and water.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 14, 2007Publication date: August 13, 2009Applicant: Morphic Technologies Aktiebolag (Publ.)Inventors: Olof Dahlberg, Alf Larsson

Publication number: 20080253612Abstract: The invention relates to a method for locating and picking up objects that are placed on a carrier. A scanning operation is performed over the carrier. The scanning is performed by a line laser scanner whose results are used to generate a virtual surface that represents the area that has been scanned. The virtual surface is compared to a pre-defined virtual object corresponding to an object to be picked from the carrier, whereby a part of the virtual surface that matches the pre-defined virtual object is identified. A robot arm is then caused to move to a location corresponding to the identified part of the virtual surface and pick up an object from the carrier at this location.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 16, 2006Publication date: October 16, 2008Applicant: Morphic Technologies AktiebolagInventors: Anders Reyier, Per Larsson

Patent number: 7368075Abstract: The invention concerns an impact machine for forming a body with desired shape of a formable working material through impact action in a forming operation, said impact machine comprising a machine stand (6), an upper unit which comprises either a lower impact unit (3), which comprises a counter-impact device, or a stationary anvil, and a central unit between the upper and the lower units.Type: GrantFiled: April 7, 2005Date of Patent: May 6, 2008Assignee: Morphic Technologies Aktiebolag (Publ)Inventor: Håkan Olsson

Patent number: 7104190Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for material working utilizing high kinetic energy, in which a stamp or striking body transfers, by delivering a blow, high kinetic energy to a material body that is to be worked, after which a rebound of the stamp occurs. In an embodiment of the method, a measure is taken in conjunction with said blow delivered, which measure prevents said stamp from delivering an afterblow with an appreciable kinetic energy content, for the purpose of avoiding negative effects as a consequence of afterblows.Type: GrantFiled: April 24, 2002Date of Patent: September 12, 2006Assignee: Morphic Technologies Aktiebolag (publ)Inventor: Anders Dahlberg

Patent number: 6871524Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the manufacture of an annular article, which substantially consists of metal, ceramic material, and/or polymer. A cavity in a die is filled with a formable working material, which shall form said article. A tubular, upper punch (17) is introduced into the upper mouth of a hole in a die (34), so that a closed mould cavity is formed. The upper punch and a lower punch (27) are simultaneously struck towards one another at such a high velocity that the working material is plasticized and flows out and fills the mould cavity, and thereafter the upper punch is removed. Then, a mandrel (35) in the lower punch is driven out of the annular body by means of a mandrel expulsor (170), which is pressed against the mandrel from above, and thereafter the annular body is from below pushed out of the die by mean of the lower punch. The invention also relates to an equipment for the carrying out of the method.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 2001Date of Patent: March 29, 2005Assignee: Morphic Technologies Aktiebolag (publ)Inventor: Håkan Olsson

Patent number: 6862912Abstract: The invention concerns an impact machine for forming, cutting, or punching a working material in a mould die by impact action during an impact operation carried out by means of impact devices, preferably from two opposite directions, said impact devices being provided to strike the working material or impact members which transfer the impact energy of the impact devices to the working material, said die (9) being carried by a carrier (2) included in the impact machine. According to the invention, the die is resiliently mounted in the carrier, which e.g. may consist of a stationary or moveable table.Type: GrantFiled: November 16, 2001Date of Patent: March 8, 2005Assignee: Morphic Technologies Aktiebolag (publ)Inventor: Håkan Olsson

Patent number: 6821471Abstract: A method for the manufacturing of a plate (2) of metal or of a ceramic material, the plate having one or more fields (3) which occupy the major part of the surface of the plate and which on at least one side of the plate is high relief patterned such that the plate on said at least one side within the area of said field or fields has reliefs with high projections and deep valleys (9) or recesses (8) alternatingly, and between the sides a thin web (10), said high relief patterned field or fields being at least partly bordered by broad edge portions (4) which have a thickness larger than the mean thickness of the plate within the region of said high relief patterned field or fields. In a preparatory step, an intermediate product (1) is manufactured. This intermediate product includes at least a first portion (11) which shall form said high relief patterned field(s), which however is/are not yet high relief patterned but contain(s) an adequate quantity of material.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 2002Date of Patent: November 23, 2004Assignee: Morphic Technologies AktiebolagInventor: Håkan Olsson
