Patents Assigned to Moteco AB
  • Patent number: 6509879
Abstract: The disclosure relates to an antenna. To improve transmission and reception in a mobile telephone, it has what is termed a diversity antenna. The invention relates to an antenna suitable as a diversity antenna. The antenna has a plate of insulating material with a foil coating on both sides. In the foil there are provided two slots, one on each side. The slots have meander formations or windings in order that their electric length exceed their physical length. The one slot is 1-3 % longer than the other. At one closed end of the one slot, there are connections for a supply line. The foil coatings are in contact with one another through a plate which is soldered fast on the side of the carrier at right angles thereto. Laterally in relation to the longitudinal direction of the slots, there is an earth plane. The foil coatings extend out on this, and both sides are in galvanic communication with one another. In order to increase the electric length of the earth plane, slots are provided in the foil coatings.

  • Patent number: 6501428
Abstract: An antenna device for a radio communications apparatus operates in at least a first frequency band and a second frequency band. This antenna device includes a helical first antenna element for the first frequency band, wherein the helical antenna element has a supply end galvanically connectable to circuits of the radio communications apparatus. The antenna device also includes a second, substantially rod-shaped antenna element for the second frequency band. This second antenna element is disposed along and outside the helical antenna element. The rod-shaped antenna element has, in a region of the supply end of the helical antenna element, a supply portion which, at least partly and at a distance, surrounds an outer circumferential surface of the helical antenna element or its extension away from the helical antenna element. The antenna device may also include a third, substantially rod-shaped antenna element galvanically connectable to the supply portion.

  • Patent number: 6404392
Abstract: An antenna device for a radio communications apparatus operating in dual frequency bands and having one antenna element (18, 23) for each of the frequency bands. The antenna elements are included in a rod-shaped arrangement and are disposed in line with one another. The antenna element (18) which is intended for the higher frequency band is galvanically coupled to the circuits in the radio communications apparatus and is designed as a rod or bar antenna (18). The antenna element (23) for the lower frequency and is a helix, whose one end portion (24) surrounds an end portion of the rod or bar antenna (18). The antenna elements (18, 23) are capacitatively coupled to one another so that the helix constitutes a capacitative top load to the rod or bar antenna (18).

  • Patent number: 6337662
Abstract: An antenna for a radio communications apparatus operates in the frequency range of 800 MHz-3 GHz. The antenna has two radiating elements. The first radiating element is a slot in a substantially planar foil or disc-shaped metallic conductor. The second radiating element has a resonance frequency which is different from that of the first radiating element. The metallic conductor is placed close to a second conductor in the form of a metallic surface. The second radiating element is formed from an edge portion of the first conductor or a gap between the first and the second conductors. Capacitance devices may be disposed between the edge portion and the second conductor.

  • Patent number: 6222491
Abstract: The disclosure relates to an antenna device for radio communications apparatus operating in the frequency range of 800-3000 MHz and including a radiator. A dielectric resonator is connected to the supply line of the antenna device, the resonator being galvanically discrete from the radiator but being operative to supply it.

  • Patent number: 6107966
Abstract: An antenna device for a radio communication apparatus. The antenna device includes a rod antenna and a helical antenna, both of which are connectable to a transceiver. The helical antenna has an active state for receiving an emitting electromagnetic energy, and a passive state. The helical antenna is transferable from the active state to the passive state by axial compression. Preferably, the helical antenna is axially compressed into the passive state when the rod antenna is moved to an active position.

  • Patent number: 6064346
Abstract: An antenna apparatus for a communication device operating in the frequency range of between 800 and 3000 MHz, comprises at least one radiator (1), which is galvanically connected to one end of a spiral conductor (2). This is, in turn, connected to a transceiver (4). An earthed conductor (6) extends along the extent of the spiral (2) to form a capacitance therewith distributed along the spiral.

  • Patent number: 5600337
Abstract: A Y-Antenna which includes an elongate Y-shaped metal portion and a bottom plate of metal which is mounted beneath and substantially at right angles to the vertical shank of the Y-shaped metal portion and is galvanically connected to this shank. The Y-shaped metal structure includes two preferably parallel notches, quarter wave resonant on different frequencies and preferably open at one short end and which are electromagnetically coupled to one another. The two parallel notches are disposed in the V-shaped shanks of the Y and, in one preferred embodiment, have a common side which consists of the upper edge of the vertical portion of the Y. In one preferred embodiment, only one of the notches is directly fed with energy.
