  • Patent number: 6152066
Abstract: A display instrument with a first display and with an electro-luminescent display arranged at least partially in front of the first display is, where the first display can be illuminated or can be rendered luminous and appears as an almost uniformly dark surface when neither illuminated nor luminous.

  • Patent number: 5951194
Abstract: An attachment element for a body which can be inserted through a bore in a wall. The attachment, element fixes the body in place by being locked in place. The attachment element is structured to be resilient and can be deformed in such a way, by pressing on suitable points, that the catch hooks are unlocked when pressure is exerted. In this way, the attachment element can be easily released again, without tools and in simple manner.

  • Patent number: 5942872
Abstract: A method and a device for controlling a stepping motor in which the width of step and the direction of rotation of the stepping motor are determined in a controller and sent to a control arrangement for controlling the stepping motor. Upon each step clock signal from the controller, a step is carried out. The step width output by the controller is divided by the control circuit into a plurality of smaller partial steps the step width of which is smaller than the step width output by the controller, and these partial steps are sent in several time-staggered pulses by the control circuit to the stepping motor.

  • Patent number: 5847531
Abstract: A process for reducing the strength of an uncontrolled movement of a pointer driven by a stepper motor and abutting against a mechanical stop means when the stepper motor is switched off. Prior to the switch-off operation, the field strength of the magnetic field of the stepper motor is lowered, or the pointer is moved away from the stop means by a specified compensating angle of rotation. Alternatively, following the switch-off operation, the stepper motor is switched on again at least one time following a specified time span for a specified switch-on time span.

  • Patent number: 5824949
Abstract: A tubular-shaped housing comprising a flexible, belt-shaped wall arranged around a display instrument and/or a front pane of the display instrument. The tubular shaped housing is formed by bending the flexible, belt-shaped wall around the display instrument and/or front pane. The belt-shaped wall can be used for differently shaped display instruments and/or front panes, since the flexibility of the belt-shaped wall allows it to adapt to the outer contour of the display instrument and/or of the front pane.
