Abstract: A battery includes: a set of cells connected in series, each cell including an energy storage element; a coil connected in series with the set of cells; a sensor for measuring the intensity flowing between the supply terminals; and a control unit with a device for adding an energy storage element in series in the set of energy storage elements connected in series at a frequency higher than 1 kHz if the measured intensity is higher than a maximum intensity and shunting an energy storage element in series in the set of energy storage elements connected in series if the measured intensity is lower than a minimum intensity.
