Abstract: A processing station for processing a substrate web supplied and led away with a substantially continuous speed includes an impression roller and two tool cylinders. Within one revolution of the tool cylinder, the transport speed of the substrate web at a contact area between tool cylinder and impression roller can periodically vary relative to the rotation speed of the tool cylinder. Of the two tool cylinders, at any time only one is in an operative state in that it is in engagement with an impression roller. The other tool cylinder is in a non-operative state in which it can be made accessible for thereon exchanging a tool plate.
Abstract: A mandrel for use in a printing apparatus includes a substantially cylindrical mandrel shaft and a locking assembly including a stop ring, a locking ring, and a plurality of deformable rings which are slidably and coaxially mounted on the mandrel shaft. Each deformable ring has a cross-sectional profile in a cross-sectional plane in which the mandrel shaft axis extends, which profile includes a first arm and a second arm which are integrally connected to each other at a first connection point. The first arm and the second arms include an angle which is sharper in the unlocked position than in the locked position of the locking assembly. The first arm has a first-arm-end remote from the first connection point, which defines the outer diameter of the deformable ring. The second arm has a second-arm-end remote from the first connection point, which second-arm-end defines the inner diameter of the deformable ring.

Abstract: A mandrel for use in a printing apparatus includes a substantially cylindrical mandrel shaft and plastic expansion rings that are slidably and coaxially mounted on the mandrel shaft. The mandrel also includes a locking assembly including a fixed stop ring and a single locking ring that is axially movably mounted on the mandrel shaft. The expansion rings are positioned between the stop ring and the locking ring. In the unlocked position of the locking ring the expansion rings are in a released state in which the axial compression and the radial expansion of the expansion rings are smaller than in a locked position of the locking ring. A printing cylinder sleeve can be fixedly connected to the mandrel by bringing the expansion rings in the radially expanded state. When the printing cylinder sleeve has to be exchanged, this is feasible when the expansion rings are in the released state.
Abstract: Printing module provided with an impression roller, a rotary screen cylinder which is provided with a print image, which rotary screen cylinder in use abuts, with interposition of a substrate (S) to be printed, against the impression cylinder, wherein the printing module further comprises a driving shaft for driving the rotary screen cylinder, which driving shaft is provided substantially parallel to the rotary screen cylinder at a side thereof remote from the impression cylinder, and a bearing assembly, which bearing assembly is positioned adjacent the impression cylinder at a side thereof, in use, facing the driving shaft, wherein a distance between the driving shaft and the bearing assembly is adjustable such that the rotary screen cylinder is bearing mountable between the driving shaft and the bearing assembly.

Abstract: A printing module provided with a frame (12), an impression roller (13), a plate cylinder assembly (22), an anilox roller and a doctor roller, wherein the printing module comprises two receiving units disposed on opposite sides of the plate cylinder, which are connected with the frame, while fixation means are provided for fixating the plate cylinder assembly in the receiving units, the fixation means (26, 27) being situated substantially under the plate cylinder assembly (22), the fixation means preferably comprising two rods (46,46?) which, at an upwardly directed end, are provided with a hook (47,47?), the two hooks, on opposite sides of the plate cylinder, engaging a stationary shaft of the plate cylinder assembly, while on the rods a pull force is exerted for pressing the plate cylinder assembly into the receiving units.
