  • Patent number: 7484509
Abstract: A direct current motor having a fixed stator coil module and a magnetic rotor that can be rotated around the perimeter of said module and forming an impeller at the same time. The coils, terminal and electric connecting lines as well as upstream motor control and voltage converter modules are embedded in a non-conductive casting compound. Power is supplied from an intrinsically safe accumulator or battery pack at a voltage that is still considered intrinsically safer using a higher current value to match the required motor output. The filter and blower unit can be used in zone “0” potentially explosive atmospheres.

  • Patent number: 7293560
Abstract: In a respirator mask in which the visor panels can be covered by light-absorbing supplementary panels, first and second snap-in hooks are molded onto opposite sides of the visor panel and a stop is molded onto a corner section to form a guide pocket. The outer contour lines and the convexity of the visor panel and the supplementary panel are identical. To attach the flexurally elastic supplementary panel, it is first fastened in the guide pocket and on the first snap-in hook. Then the opposite side is locked into the second snap-in hook after flexing the supplementary panel.

  • Patent number: 7278628
Abstract: Apparatus for dosing gaseous and/or vaporous substances An apparatus for dosing gaseous and/or vaporous substances, in particular for generating varying scents, includes a multitude of packaged storage containers (1) from which different gases and/or vapors are driven out by a carrier medium. On their inlet sides, the storage containers are connected to a common carrier medium manifold (13) via a shut-off device (4) assigned to each storage container that can be actuated, and on their outlet sides to a joint homogenization chamber (8). Both the carrier medium manifold and the homogenization chamber are connected to a carrier medium source using a regulating valve (5, 9). Check valves (6, 7) are integrated in the gas passages to the storage container and from the storage container to the homogenization chamber. A dosing apparatus designed based on this principle is characterized by low space requirements and materially separate volume flows that can be exactly timed and dosed.

  • Publication number: 20070157439
Abstract: A holding device for a breathing mask that is fastened to a protective helmet when in use includes a fastening hook connected to a flexible, length-adjustable tightening strap that is hooked into a receptacle on the protective helmet. Stop elements that are both frictionally engaged and in positive contact prevent the accidental release of the fastening hook together with the flexibility of the tightening strap that at the same time ensures an individually adjustable fit of the mask while sliding elements arranged at an offset to the stop elements ensure automatic optimum orientation of the tightening straps. The tightening strap and the fastening hook are coupled using a retainer piece molded to the tightening strap that is held in positive contact in the recess of a grip end connected with the fastening hook.

  • Publication number: 20070108844
Abstract: A circuit arrangement for the time-delayed startup of electronic modules (20) connected to a module carrier (1) comprises a comparator (28) provided with a reference voltage applied thereto and an operating voltage which is applied via charging capacitors (35 to 38) with different capacitances. The terminals (4c-f to 19c-f) for the charging capacitors are integrated in different combinations into the terminals (4a,b to 19a,b) on the module carrier for the operating voltage. The startup time-delay is determined on the basis of the different time intervals resulting from the different values of the capacitances and lasting until a voltage exceeding the reference voltage is achieved, whereupon the respective electronic module is connected to the voltage source by means of the comparator in a time-delayed manner.

  • Patent number: 6998080
Abstract: The first step of a method for manufacturing polymer-bonded filter bodies is to produce a mixture of a sorptive agent, a liquid, and a polymer. This mixture is then pressed into a filter body by being placed in a compression mold and simultaneously applying a hot gas to it. The evaporation temperature of the liquid is lower than the melting temperature of the polymer while the temperature of the hot gas flowing through the mixture exceeds the evaporation temperature of the liquid. This inexpensive method can provide homogeneously structured high-performance filter bodies.

  • Patent number: 6776161
Abstract: The invention relates to a head harness for a respirator which comprises a head plate (1) that is elastic in the X direction and that is substantially nonelastic in the Y direction. Front straps (2), temple straps (3) and neck straps (4) are fastened to the head plate, only the temple and the neck straps being extensible. The strap buckles (5) provided for fastening the front and temple straps to the mask base are rigidly adjusted according to the head size so that the mask is already correctly positioned and preliminarily fixed when put on and only the neck strap has to be readjusted.
