  • Patent number: 10099265
Abstract: A foot operated pump includes a water and airtight flexible and collapsible wall between a top plate and a base plate and an interior variable volume chamber. A flexible hose is selectively attachable to either an inlet port or an outlet port on the top plate member. The contents (air and/or liquid) within the variable volume chamber are forced out of the outlet port upon forced downward movement of the top plate member towards the base plate member. As the top plate member returns to a normally relaxed state in separated, angled relation to the base plate, the variable volume chamber enlarges and air is sucked through the inlet port to fill the variable volume chamber. An opposite end of the flexible hose attaches to various adapters and fittings for clearing clogged drain lines and other conduits.

  • Patent number: 9423148
Abstract: A mounting device for removably supporting an overflow safety switch in operable position within a condensation collecting drain pan in HVACR equipment. The mounting device includes a clip member that is secured to the drain pan side wall and locked in place by a non-penetrating thumb screw. A bracket removably attaches to the overflow safety switch at several adjusted positions and is slidably adjustable on the clip member for adjustably positioning the overflow safety switch relative to a bottom of the drain pan. The overflow safety switch is easily removed from the bracket for adjustment and replacement while the bracket remains fitted to the clip member. Moreover, the bracket is easily removed from the clip member without removing the clip member from the drain pan side wall.

  • Patent number: 9217580
Abstract: A hose attachment device for use in combination with a source of pressurized gas or liquid for clearing HVACR drain lines. The device includes a cap having an interior cavity extending from an open bottom end that is sized for engaged receipt of an open-ended drain line extension. One embodiment of the device includes a hose extending through the top of the cap and having a fitting at the proximal end of the hose (extending from the top of the cap) that is sized for attachment to the pressurized source. A valve fitting at the distal end of the hose is sized for engaged receipt of a male valve stem, such as a Schrader valve. Another embodiment of the invention includes a valve fitting extending through top of the cap. A further embodiment of the invention includes an upper component and a lower component forming the cap, wherein the upper component is securable to a nozzle of a garden hose and the bottom component is securable to an open-ended drain line extension.

  • Patent number: 9217577
Abstract: An access device for installation to a condensation drainage system, such as a drain line of an HVAC unit, includes a main body with at least one connecting port for sealed, fluid receiving connection to the drainage system and an open top communicating with an interior cavity. A top cover releasably secures to the main body to completely cover the open top. An overflow safety switch is removably held in operable position within the interior cavity and below the top cover. The switch senses the level of condensate liquid accumulating with the interior cavity and sends an electronic signal to disable the condensation producing equipment if the liquid reaches a predetermined level.

  • Patent number: 8967183
Abstract: A drain line access device is provided for flushing HVACR drain lines. The device includes a main body having input and outlet connection ports on opposite ends for inline installation to a drain line, a flapper assembly sized and configured for seated placement in an interior cavity of the main body, and a removable top cover. The flapper assembly includes a flapper holder, a flapper, a flapper seat, and a spring hinge for rotatably urging the flapper into the normally raised position. An injection port is provided on the top cover for delivering a flow of pressurized gas or liquid for flushing out a clog in the drain line. In operation, delivery of pressurized gas or fluid into the drain line forces the flapper against the flapper seat, thereby sealing off one of the respective ends of the main body and directing the pressurized gas into the drain line.

  • Patent number: 7938288
Abstract: An auxiliary drain pan for catching liquid that leaks or overflows from an appliance, system or machinery includes a central well and a pan plate surrounding the central well. The pan plate has a top surface that is sloped downwardly towards the central well such that, when the drain pan is operatively positioned on a generally horizontal plane, liquid on the top surface flows into the confined area of the well, thereby minimizing the weight of liquid collected in the drain pan. The well includes a drain line connection port and a removable wall segment for optional attachment of a water detection device. Parallel score lines in the pan plate, extending both longitudinally and transversely on all sides, define removable areas for adjustment of the overall size and shape of the drain pan, thereby allowing for customized sizing at the installation site.
