    Abstract: A chair arm is pivotally movable from a normal raised position to a collapsed position. The chair back is vertically slidably mounted on a support to permit a connection between the forward portion of the arm and the upper end of an arm support to be moved to a position at the rear of the chair seat and the lower end of the backrest, wherein the arm is vertical adjacent the edge of the back, and the strut is horizontal adjacent the edge of the seat.
