Abstract: A new and distinct variety of grapevine named ‘Royal Red’ particularly characterized by its large ovoid-shaped, blush red-colored seedless berries that mature in mid-August, approximately one to two weeks earlier than ‘Scarlet Royal’ (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 16,229) when grown in the San Joaquin Valley of Central California.
