Abstract: A multi-metallic pressure-controlling component and a hot isostatic pressure (HIP) manufacturing process and system are disclosed. An example multi-metallic component for use in the oil field services industry includes a first metal alloy that forms a first portion of the multi-metallic pressure-controlling component, and a second metal alloy that forms a second portion of the multi-metallic pressure-controlling component. A diffusion bond is disposed at an interface between the first metal alloy and the second metal alloy that joins the first metal alloy to the second metal alloy within the multi-metallic pressure-controlling component.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a process of manufacturing an article comprising at least one body of a cemented carbide and at least one body of a metal alloy or at least one body of a metal matrix composite and to a product manufactured thereof and wherein the article also comprises an interlayer between the at least one body of a cemented carbide and at least one body of a metal alloy or at least one body of a metal matrix composite in order to prevent deleterious interface phases from forming.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a metallic component including the steps of providing a capsule, which defines at least a portion of the shape of the metallic component, arranging metallic material in the capsule, sealing the capsule, subjecting the capsule to Hot Isostatic Pressing for a predetermined time, at a predetermined pressure and at a predetermined temperature, and optionally, removing the capsule. The metallic material is at least one pre-manufactured coherent body, which pre-manufactured coherent body being made of metallic powder, wherein at least a portion of the metallic powder is consolidated such that the metallic powder is held together into a pre-manufactured coherent body. At least one portion of the pre-manufactured coherent body is manufactured by Additive Manufacturing by subsequently arranging superimposed layers of metallic powder.
