Abstract: The present invention relates to a CMOS image sensor. According to the present invention, the CMOS image sensor includes a two-dimensional pixel array (110), a row decoder (130), and a column decoder (150). The two-dimensional pixel array (110) includes rectangular unit pixels each having a width to length ratio of 1:2. The row decoder (130) is placed on one side of the pixel array to designate a row address. The column decoder (150) is placed on another side of the pixel array to be perpendicular to the row decoder and is adapted to extract data of respective pixels from a row selected by the row decoder, amplify the extracted data and generate image data including pixel values. As a result, the present invention is advantageous in that it can easily perform interpolation compared to an image sensor having regular quadrilateral unit pixels.

Abstract: A method for managing an original image data file uploaded from a terminal of a client and a system for materializing the method. The method includes storing the original image data file in a database; generating a preview image data file by using the original image data file, wherein the preview image data file has a predetermined file size smaller than that of the original image data file; storing the preview image data file in the database; and linking the preview image data file with the original image data file. The system includes a storage device a storage device, an image management device, a retrieval device and an image process device. The storage device stores information of a client, original image data files and preview image data files each linked with corresponding one of the original image data files. The image management device generates a preview image data file by using a corresponding original image data file.

Abstract: A universal serial bus (USB) device and an initializing method therefor. The USB device includes an interface, at least one signal line and a voltage regulator. The interface stores a basic descriptor. The interface primarily activates an initialization signal and transfers the basic descriptor to a host to perform a primary initialization. Further, the interface downloads a real descriptor stored in the host in response to a download command generated from the host, and secondarily activates the initialization signal and transfers the real descriptor to the host to perform a secondary initialization. The signal line guides the basic descriptor, the real descriptor and the download command. The voltage regulator pulls up the signal line while the initialization signal is activated.
