Patents Assigned to MTM Obermaier GmbH
  • Patent number: 4965918
Abstract: Textiles fabrics are guided with a sufficient lead between two essentially parallel revolving conveyor belts, and blowing nozzles and suction nozzles are alternately arranged above and below the conveyor belts so that one blowing nozzle lies respectively opposite each suction nozzle so as to enable air to be sucked through the fabric and impact a sinusoidal shaped curve to the fabric between the conveyor belts, the conveyor belts vibrating at least in sections and the vibrations being transmitted to the crests of the textile fabric, mutual spacing of the conveyor belts and the associated blowing and suction nozzles, the vibration frequency, and the speed of the conveyor belts being adjustable to the properties of the fabric being treated, such as weight, moisture content and air permeability.

  • Patent number: 4928338
Abstract: A process for the wet treatment of textile materials having capillary-active properties. The textile material, for example, in the form of yarn bobbins, is placed into a treatment vessel with a heated liquid containing chemicals. A negative pressure is generated in the treatment vessel until the liquid boils viborously. The negative pressure is created by means of a vacuum pump connected to the treatment vessel through an intermediate vessel, a liquid separator, pipelines and valves. Simultaneously, a gas, for example, nitrogen, air or oxygen is conducted through a valve into the liquid, so that the entire liquid volume is transformed into a froth having fine pores. The vacuum treatment step is followed by an intermediate treatment step during which the gas valve is closed and the liquid is circulated by means of a circulating pump. The liquid is thus reheated and the vacuum reestablished.

  • Patent number: 4741184
Abstract: A laundry press includes an approximately hemispherical, circumferentially perforated pressing basket and a cover which is placeable on the basket in a pressure-tight manner. A diaphragm is mounted on the cover. A pressure medium can be introduced in the space between cover and diaphragm. The water pressed out of the laundry is collected and discharged from a vessel. The cover and the pressing basket are displaceable independently from one another. The pressure medium is introduced initially by means of a quickly delivering pump and the actual pressure for pressing out the laundry is provided by a piston pump.

  • Patent number: 4677717
Abstract: A device for the continuous and tension-free treatment, such as drying, shrinking, finishing and the like, of textile fabric sheets has a transport belt on which a fabric sheet is conveyed from one treatment zone to another so that the sheet is supported on the belt in a gathered condition. Upwardly directed lower nozzles are located below the transport belt and include closing members selectively opening and closing the nozzles. The nozzles extend transversely of the transport direction of the belt and are connected to a compressed air source. A baffle arrangement is associated with each nozzle and is located above the transport belt. A baffle arrangement has an upwardly extending separating wall and a generally horizontally extending perforated plate extending from the separating wall in the transport direction and inclined upwardly relative to the transport belt.

  • Patent number: 4590683
Abstract: Fiber or yarn wrapped on spools is dried in a pair of vessels in an alternating gas flow arrangement. Each vessel is located in a separate circulation loop. The two circulation loops have a common circulation leg. Each of the circulation loops is connected to an evacuation device via an evacuation duct. The evacuation duct contains valves for selective connection of the evacuation duct to one or the other circulation loops. The common circulation leg contains a blower, a heater, a connection for introducing moisture into the gas used in the circulation loops, a cooler and a moisture separator. Valve controlled bypasses are connected to each of the circulation loops and to the common circulation leg so that a selected flow of heating gas can be provided in one of the loops when it is being evacuated. High frequency heaters are arranged in each of the vessels for supplying additional heat to the fiber or yarn.
