Abstract: A system for manipulating the control stick of an aircraft including: (1) a platform having an aperture, wherein the control stick is positioned within an area defined by the aperture; (2) a first sidewall secured to and extending perpendicular to the platform; (3) a second sidewall, opposing the first sidewall, secured to and extending perpendicular to the platform; (4) a first elongate member extending between the first and second sidewall, positioned on a first side of the control stick; (5) a second elongate member extending between the first sidewall and the second sidewall, positioned on a second side of the control stick, wherein the first side of the control stick opposes the second side of the control stick; (6) a first actuator configured to move the first elongate member along a first path; and (7) a second actuator configured to move the second elongate member along a second path.
Abstract: A flight management system for providing guidance to a pilot during parabolic maneuvers including (1) an aircraft computer; (2) on-board storage; (3) a processor including instructions for receiving a target guidance parameter from the on-board storage, comparing the target guidance parameter to a value of a plurality of outputs of the aircraft computer to provide a guidance parameter having a value to a display; and (4) the display adapted to provide a visual indication to the pilot only during a maneuver execution phase wherein the visual indication is indicative of a target stick deflection based upon the value of the guidance parameter.
Abstract: A system for providing impact absorption on an interior surface of an aircraft performing parabolic flight maneuvers including: (1) a liner layer having a first side and an opposing second side; (2) a first compression deflection padding layer having a first side, adhered to the second side of the liner layer, and an opposing second side; (3) a second compression deflection padding layer having a first side, adhered to the second side of the first compression deflection padding layer, and an opposing second side; and (4) a flooring layer having a first side, adhered to the second side of the second compression deflection padding layer, and an opposing second side.
Abstract: A hydraulic system for use during reduced gravity flight including: (1) a reservoir; (2) a hydraulic device; (3) a supply line providing fluid communication between the reservoir and the hydraulic device; (4) a return line providing fluid communication between the hydraulic device and the reservoir; (5) a supply valve located on the supply line between the reservoir and the hydraulic device and selectively configurable in an open or closed position; and (6) a return valve located on the return line between the reservoir and the hydraulic device and selectively configurable in an open or closed position; and (7) wherein the supply valve is adapted to prevent fluid communication between the reservoir and the hydraulic device when in the supply valve closed position; and (8) wherein the return valve is adapted to prevent fluid communication between the reservoir and the hydraulic device when in the return valve closed position.
