Abstract: A tooth (2) for use in a grinding wheel (4), the tooth (2) including a spigot (8) for cooperating with a corresponding structure within a slot (10) of the grinding wheel (4) and a bolt (14) for locking the tooth (2) in the slot (10) of the wheel (4), and a grinding wheel (4) comprising the tooth (2).
Abstract: A tree stump grinding machine includes a rotor having at least one or more peripheral slots therein and defining a rotor plane. One or more teeth are removably disposed in corresponding slots and form a primary cutting face. A secondary cutting face is formed by a protrusion on the tooth and/or a keeper plate associated with the tooth. The secondary cutting face may be formed by a protrusion on the keeper plate oriented perpendicular to the plane of the rotor, and/or the secondary cutting face may be disposed circumferentially and/or radially offset with respect to the primary cutting face on either of both of the tooth and the keeper plate.
Abstract: A tooth (30) for use in a grinding wheel is provided. The tooth comprises a main body (31) including a slot (32) comprising two substantially planar surfaces for, in use, engaging with a slot (24) in the rotor (20), and at least one cutting face (33, 34, 35, 36) connected to and extending away from the main body. In use, the force in the plane of the rotor is transferred from the tooth onto the rotor via one of the planar surfaces provided on the slot.
