Abstract: Provided is a novel kit and assay for free and lipid-bound (exosomal) Hsp70. In particular, an ELISA is described for determining the level of Hsp70 in sample derived from a body fluid of a subject, characterized in that the level of Hsp70 is determined by an anti-Hsp70 antibody.
Abstract: Methods and compositions for the detection, prevention and treatment of infectious diseases, primary and metastatic neoplastic diseases, including, but not limited to human sarcomas and carcinomas are described. In particular, specific antibodies are provided, which are capable of binding an epitope of Hsp70 that is extracellularly localized on diseased tissue and cells, in particular on tumor cells and infected cells.
Abstract: Methods and compositions for the detection, prevention and treatment of infectious diseases, primary and metastatic neoplastic diseases, including, but not limited to human sarcomas and carcinomas are provided. In particular, the detection, prevention and treatment of infectious diseases and cancer mediated and/or indicated by the presence and co-localization of a member of the anti-apoptotic Bcl-2-associated athanogene (Bag) family, especially Bag4 and membrane-bound heat shock protein (Hsp) on the cell surface of diseased tissue or cells are described.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an immunostimulatory peptide derived from an Hsp70 protein and peptides comprising said immunostimulatory peptide. Furthermore the present invention pertains to polynucleotides encoding said peptide, vectors comprising said polynucleotides, fusion (poly)peptides comprising said peptide and compositions comprising said peptide. In addition the present invention relates to the use of said peptide, polynucleotide, vector or fusion (poly)peptide, for the preparation of pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment of diseases and for the stimulation of natural killer cell (NK cell) activity.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of inducing or enhancing the expression of granzyme B in natural killer (NK) cells. The present invention relates also to a use of said NK cells for the preparation of a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of tumors, viral or bacterial infections or inflammatory diseases. Further, the present invention relates to the use of granzyme B for the treatment of tumors, viral or bacterial infections or inflammatory diseases, wherein the tumor cells or the cells affected by said infection or inflammation express Hsp70 in their cell surface.
