  • Patent number: 4771682
Abstract: This invention concerns a peeling machine for stripping skin and other unedible portions from a fruit or vegetables, more particularly, a peeling machine which can be used effectively for peeling an object which has a soft layer between an outer skin and flesh. This invention is based on a finding that a blade is generally imparted with a better incisive quality when it is pressed against an object and moved in the direction of its cutting edge, as compared with a case where it is simply pressed against the object. Namely, according to the invention, a cup-shaped rotary blade with a cutting edge along the brim of a cup-shaped body is put in rotation and moved along the profile of a fruit or vegetable.

  • Patent number: 4517863
Abstract: A successive screw feeder driver, including a motor housing accommodating an electric motor and a transmission mechanism and formed with a handle, a screw chain magazine holding a continuous screw chain having a great number of screws attached at uniform intervals to a connecting strip by means of an easily breakable filament, a screw drive mechanism for driving said screws, and a screw feed mechanism for feeding said screws one after another to a predetermined driving position. The transmission is mounted between the motor and handle. The screw driving mechanism is projected from the front end of the motor housing by a predetermined length in a direction parallel with the motor.

  • Patent number: 4404877
Abstract: A power-driven screwdriver for use with a motor-driven tool for driving a strip of screws one at a time into a workpiece and having an outer guide frame in which a slide block and a slide plate are slidably mounted. A screw indexing lever is angularly movably mounted on the slide block and has a pin received in a first cam slot having an oblique portion and defined in the outer guide frame and a second cam slot defined in the slide plate. When the motor-driven tool is pushed toward a workpiece, the slide block and the slide plate are slid into the outer guide frame, allowing a screwdriver bit to engage and drive a screw into the workpiece. After the screw has been driven, the motor-driven tool is retracted away from the workpiece, whereupon the slide block and the slide plate are forced to slide out of the outer guide frame under the bias of a spring around the screwdriver bit.
