    Abstract: Calling parties are provided a system which supplants and replaces their on hold phone signal sent by the phone call receiving party. The on hold signal is monitored and controlled. During the holding time the calling party is allowed to use their own phone to pursue other tasks. Upon its termination the calling party is returned to the phone call.
