Abstract: A method and apparatus for aligning and securing auxiliary equipment and structures with respect to a well drilling platform comprising a pair of elongated hydraulic jacks spaced apart in a non-parallel configuration, said jacks being pivotally secured between the base portions of the drilling platform and the auxiliary structure and lying in a substantially horizontal plane, whereupon, activation of the jacks pulls the auxiliary structure into substantial alignment and spacing with respect to the drilling platform. Upon alignment and spacing, a pair of pivotal connecting links secures the base portion of the structure to the base portion of the platform and including a pair of longitudinally adjustable upper connecting links secured between the upper portions of the platform and the structure whereby adjustment in length of said upper connecting links compensates for a slightly unlevel drilling site, said auxiliary structure serving to stabilize said platform against side loads.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for the mixing of fly ash and a wetting agent to obtain a slurry for the ultimate disposal of fly ash. The apparatus is a slurry gun having an introduction chamber, the wetting agent being introduced horizontally into the chamber under a controlled pressure while the fly ash is aerated and introduced into the top of the chamber at an acute angle with respect to the horizontal so that the fly ash is introduced downwardly and outwardly in the direction of the flow of the wetting agent and being also under a controlled pressure, the combination of aerated fly ash and wetting agent being passed through a contorted descending path to create turbulence for mixing. A second embodiment includes a vibrator operably connected to the introduction chamber for dislodging any accumulated build up of fly ash.

Abstract: A system for disposing of fly ash where the dry fly ash is transported by pneumatic hose to a portable container which is utilized in the manner of a mold. The container is of a general truncated pyramidal shape, closed at the top end and open at the bottom. The fly ash is blown into the container and simultaneously wetted by sprayed liquid within the container. The air which is used for transporting the fly ash is removed from the container by a filtering system and the fly ash is allowed to harden into cement-like ingots or cakes for further handling thereof.
