Abstract: An arrow rest assembly for a compound bow having a riser, a number of cables, and a cable guard mounted to the riser with a slider thereon connected to the cables. The arrow rest assembly consists of an arrow rest movable between a first position wherein an arrow rests upon the arrow rest and a second position wherein the arrow does not rest upon the arrow rest; a drop-away mechanism engaging the arrow rest, the arrow rest moving with the drop-away mechanism between the first and second position in an arc about a center of rotation; and a driving mechanism coupled to the slider and driving the drop-away mechanism.
Abstract: A unitary game call having a platform with legs, that can be affixed to a limb of a hunter. When retained, the game call's bottom face, or sound emanating surface, is maintained in a position elevated from the hunter's limb by the legs depending from the platform. Further, an adjustable, flexible body attaching member serves to secure the retained game call relative the limb.
Abstract: The present invention is an archer's broadhead having blade elements supported by a mandrel preferably disposed in a longitudinally extending ferrule. The blade can incorporate a flange portion or a loop. The mandrel preferably comprises threaded portions and incorporates a collar, which collar is adjustable along the length of the mandrel. The ferrule defines a longitudinally extending central cavity and a plurality of ferrule slots extending from and communicating with the central cavity. Upon broadhead assembly, the flange portion (or loop) of the blade is located in the ferrule cavity between the outer surface of the mandrel and the inner surface of the ferrule. The arrowhead tip can engage a top section of the mandrel, a top section of the ferrule, or both, to secure the top of the blade elements and mandrel to the ferrule. The broadhead fixedly secures to an arrow shaft at a mounting component.
Abstract: A holder for retaining an item, particularly a turkey call, other game call, clipboard, pad or the like on the limb of a user while leaving his or her hands free. The holder includes a base having a hollow center. Rubber feet are arranged about the hollow center to support the item. The item is held against the rubber feet by an elastic band. A nylon web strap, provided with a snap buckle, is used to secure the holder to the user's limb. A belt attached tether may be provided to assist in retaining the holder on a limb (e.g., the thigh) of the user.
