The system includes a primary bag and a plurality of flexible secondary bags. The primary bag includes a plurality of compartments formed by dividers or pockets. The compartments store the secondary bags such that the secondary bags can be removed from the primary bag as necessary to store and carry shopping items. The primary bag itself may also be used to carry shopping items.
