Abstract: Leak-resistant Kits for releasably retaining a medical suction tube, e.g. a Yankauer Suction Instrument used to collect biological fluids during a medical procedure and method of use is described. The leak-resistant Kit comprises an apparatus that includes a leak proof solid bottom portion, a hollow cavity reservoir, and a top portion with a leak resistant flexible retaining disk. The flexible retaining disk functions to releasably hold, releasably retain or releasably restrict the undesired movement of a Yankauer Suction Instrument after being inserted into the disk. In addition, the flexible retaining disk functions as a splash guard for preventing biological fluids from being ejected from the reservoir. The leak-resistant Kit allows the user the ability to use one hand to manipulate a Yankauer Suction Instrument. Additionally, the apparatus fits onto a movable bracket that can also be used with one hand.
