Abstract: A method, graphical user interface and electronic device for forming guiding lines in a graphical user interface of an electronic device comprising at least a display and a navigating device, wherein a potion of the virtual desktop area of the graphical user interface is seen on the display at a time. In the method, digital material is placed on the virtual desktop area. The method further comprises the steps of determining a point of origin within the digital material and defining at least two points through which a guiding line is drawn, the guiding line indicating the distance and/or direction to the point of origin. The guiding line is then displayed along with the digital material on the display.

Abstract: A method, a dynamic user interface and an electronic device for generating user-detectable multi-functional feedback using a single component in response to a stimulus signal. One or more resonating vibrating elements, such for example as a piezo-bender, are attached to a selected component of the electronic device. Because sensory feedback in the form of a haptic feedback signal, a buzzer signal, a vibratory alert signal and an audio signal are all generatable using such a piezo-element attached for example to a lens or housing of the device, a significant decrease in the space needed and in the required power consumption as compared to prior art devices, in which different feedback signals are generated using separate components, is realized.

Abstract: The idea of the present invention is to browse information on a display device of a hand-held device naturally and logically. Characteristic of the invention is that information is browsed on the display device essentially in a mirror-like way. In other words, the portion of the virtual data object displayed on the display device is moved in the same direction as the hand-held device is tilted. In other words, the movements of the portion of the virtual data object displayed on the display device depends on the orientation of the hand-held device. An important feature of the invention is also that a certain orientation of the hand-held device always displays the same portion of the virtual data object on the display device. The browsing method described above is extremely logical, and the movements and responses to the movements are natural.
