Abstract: An adaptive suspension for a rotary cleaning machine includes a hub ring configured to receive a hub member, a plurality of rigid arms that extend radially from the hub ring and each have a proximal end rotatably connected to the hub ring and a distal end configured to be rotatably connected to a suction shoe, and a plurality of flexing arms that extend radially from the hub ring and each have a proximal end rotatably connected to the hub ring at substantially the same angular position as a rigid arm and a distal end connected to the same rigid arm at a radial distance from the proximal end of the rigid arm. The adaptive suspension adapted for use in a rotary cleaning machine and enables independent upward and downward movements of the suction shoes over an uneven surface.

Abstract: A surface cleaning machine includes a cleaning head having a double glide apparatus formed by a first glide member in front position and a second glide member in rear position. The first and the second glide members are joined together along a portion of their facing walls, a longitudinal cavity being defined therebetween that opens to the surface to be cleaned. Each of the first and the second glide members has one or more suction openings defined in its bottom wall, and the second glide member also has one or more inlet openings defined in its rear wall to receive a cleaning solution, which is delivered through the cavity to a surface to be cleaned and is removed from the surface by action of vacuum applied through the suction openings.

Abstract: A cleaning apparatus includes a front portion in distal position, which has a fluid dispenser and a vacuum port; a handle portion in proximal position, which is coupled to and in fluid communication with the front portion and is configured to be held by an operator's hand; and a flow control member, which controls flow of the fluid to the fluid dispenser through a flow control valve and is shaped as a rotatable member extending outwardly from an outer surface of the cleaning apparatus. Both the fluid control member and the flow control valve are disposed distally of the position of the operator's hand.

Abstract: A handle with flow control includes a holding portion having an elongated upper part with a cavity defined therein and a cylindrical lower part adapted to be coupled to and engage a vacuum tube; and a lever having an elongated upper member shaped to be removably inserted into the cavity of the holding portion when rotated, a cylindrical lower member shaped to surround the vacuum tube, and an appendage extending from the lower member, which rotates when the upper member is rotated and which causes an opening or closing of a valve coupled to the handle.
