Abstract: An apparatus for assessing a coronary vasculature and a corresponding method are provided which allow to globally assess a coronary artery disease directly from the contrast agent dynamics as derived from diagnostic images acquired using an invasive medical imaging modality by following the time course of the area occupied by the vessels in the diagnostic images.

Abstract: A juicer combines a juice extracting arrangement for providing extracted juice and a centrifuge unit for separating a juice component of the extracted juice from a foam component of the extracted juice. An output gate of the centrifuge unit allows the passage of the juice component to an outlet. In this way, the outlet has reduced (or eliminated) foam content, which is appreciated by users.

Abstract: A filter oil composition and a method for removing airborne molecular contaminants from air are provided. The composition includes a first portion comprising paraffinic oil by volume of the composition, a second portion comprising polyalphaolefin by volume of the composition, and a third portion comprising red dye by volume of the composition. Applying the filter oil composition to a cotton air filter material causes tackiness throughout the air filter material, thereby enhancing filtration of air passing through the filter. The composition generally is substantially non-reactive, has excellent oxidation stability, possesses good thermal stability, and retains a suitable viscosity at a normal operating temperature of an automobile engine. In an embodiment, the composition comprises 96.74% paraffinic oil by volume, 3.20% polyalphaolefin by volume, and 0.06% red dye by volume. The viscosity of the composition at 100 degrees-C. ranges between substantially 7.2 and 7.6 centistokes (cSTs).

Abstract: A SOC includes a core, peripherals, and a bus for interconnecting the core and peripherals. Some peripherals can be selectively enabled or disabled on-demand. The SoC further includes peripheral enabling/disabling electronics and peripheral enabling/disabling circuitry coupled to the peripherals. The peripheral enabling/disabling electronics are directly connected to the peripheral enabling/disabling circuitry and are configured to store information items related to an enabled/disabled peripheral configuration, indicate the peripherals that are enabled and the peripherals that are disabled according to the enabled/disabled peripheral configuration, and provide the peripheral enabling/disabling circuitry with signals based on the stored information items. The peripheral enabling/disabling circuitry allows operation of the enabled peripherals and prevents operation of the disabled peripherals based on the signals received from the peripheral enabling/disabling electronics.

Abstract: A shock absorber is provided having a cylinder, a piston rod, a piston body, and a valve. The cylinder is configured to receive fluid. The piston body is connected to the piston rod and is configured to reciprocate within the cylinder between a compression chamber and a rebound chamber. The valve is provided by the piston body having a fluid flow port, a valve seat, a circumferential valving element, and a spring configured to urge the valve body into the valve seat. A primary damping valve and an auxiliary damping valve are also provided.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a processor and one or more secure elements. The processor executes a first high-level operating system and a first application. The one or more secure elements execute a first low-level operating system to verify a reliability, an authenticity, or a reliability and an authenticity of the first high-level operating system, and execute a second low-level operating system to execute a second application and to perform wireless communication with the first application. At each booting of the electronic device, the first low-level operating system performs a verification of the reliability, of the authenticity, or of the reliability and the authenticity of the first high-level operating system. In response to a request from the first application to the second application, the second low-level operating system requests a result of the verification from the first low-level operating system, and transmits the result to the second application.

Abstract: Provided is a method of manufacturing a drug delivery system including a first surfactant and a second surfactant, the drug delivery system manufactured by using the method, and a contrast medium, wherein the first surfactant includes a polyethylene glycol based nonionic surfactant and the second surfactant includes a Tween-type surfactant or a SPAN-type surfactant. According to the present invention, the microbubble including the first surfactant, which includes a polyethylene glycol (PEG) based nonionic surfactant, and the second surfactant, which includes a Tween-type surfactant or a SPAN-type surfactant, may stably have uniform size distribution, may include high loading amount of drugs and dye on the surface of the delivery system, and thereby, may be efficiently used as a drug delivery system. Also, drug release may increase by ultrasonic wave, which is external stimulus, from the microbubble and thereby, more efficient drug delivery may be available.

Abstract: The invention relates to an exchange for paper check transactions via an interbank information network (IIN) architecture. An embodiment of the present invention provides a marketplace for secure collection, assignment and distribution of payments and data from paper check transaction originators to lockbox providers. This eliminates paper checks, resulting in faster deposit into client accounts, better management of payment exceptions, and reduction in overall operating costs. The IIN architecture provides a global platform using blockchain technology for real-time interconnected flow of information that address immediate pain points across the financial industry and enable new services. With an embodiment of the present invention, a distributed network may streamline process for resolving compliance based inquiries and provide global beneficiary account validations.

Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for a flangeless air filter configured to be mounted onto a flat surface within an air intake system of an internal combustion engine. The flangeless air filter is comprised of a cone-shaped filter medium, retained between a base and a cap, that is fabricated to remove contaminants and particulate matter from an intake airstream. The base includes a pliable seal that forms an airtight connection between the flangeless air filter and the flat surface of the air intake system. A mounting bracket and fasteners may be used to attach the base to the flat surface, compressing the seal there between. In some embodiments, the mounting bracket may be incorporated into, and made a part of the base. A cap is disposed on a top of the flangeless air filter and configured to direct the intake airstream around the cap and toward the filter medium.

Abstract: An apparatus and methods are provided for an air cleaner to be mounted onto an air inlet of an internal combustion engine. The air cleaner comprises an air filter that includes a filter medium disposed between a curved base and a cover. The curved base provides an interface between the air filter and the air inlet, and comprises a shape that provides clearance between the curved base and an electric choke installed onto a carburetor comprising the air inlet. The cover secures the air filter and the curved base to the air inlet such that an airstream is drawn through the filter medium and is conducted into the air inlet. A raised portion of the cover is configured to cooperate with the curved base to ensure a desired volume of the airstream is available to the air inlet at substantially all engine speeds.
