Abstract: A radial imaging system is provided for capturing an image of an object which extends radially around an image sensor in an object plane. A reflector (42) is used for reflecting incident light (46) to a generally axial direction. The image sensor (40) receives the generally axially directed reflected light, and it has a stepped reflector surface having a series of reflecting linear facets (48) which together form a generally curved, e.g. concave surface. This design enables improved uniformity of the imaging performance with respect to the radial distance to the object being imaged.
Abstract: A system for generating a report based on image data is disclosed. A template selector (1) selecting a template from a plurality of templates, the template defining a structure for the report and data fields to be filled in for the report, wherein the template further defines associations between data fields and view descriptors, wherein a view descriptor defines an image type and a presentation mode of the image type. A data field presenter (2) presenting a representation of the data fields of the template to a user. An image dataset selector (4) automatically selecting at least one image dataset having the image type defined by the view descriptor associated with the selected at least one data field. A view generator (5) automatically generating a view of the at least one selected image dataset based on the presentation mode defined by the view descriptor associated with the selected at least one data field.
Abstract: A system (10) and method for energy correction of positron emission tomography (PET) event data by at least one processor. Event data for a plurality of strike events corresponding to gamma events is received. Each strike event is detected by a pixel of a detector module (50) and includes an energy and a time. The energy of the strike events is linearized using an energy linearity correction model including one or more parameters. Clusters of the strike events are identified based on the times of the strike events, and sub-clusters of the clusters are identified based on the pixels corresponding to the strike events of the clusters. Energies of the sub-clusters are corrected using a first set of correction factors, and energies of clusters including a plurality of sub-clusters are corrected using a second set of correction factors.

Abstract: Issuance of ultrasound pulses to a volume and receiving echo data is followed by estimating, based on the received data, center frequency subvolume-by-subvolume. Distinguishing between heart and lung tissue occurs based on a result of the estimating, and may include automatically identifying a spatial boundary (332) between the heart and lung tissue (324, 328), or a user display of center frequencies that allows for visual distinguishing. The issuance can include issuing, ray line by ray line, pair-wise identical, and/or pair-wise mutually inverted, ultrasound pulses. Center frequency calculations may be made for incremental sampling locations of respective imaging depth along each of the A-lines generated from echo data of the rays. The distinguishing might entail averaging center frequencies for locations along an A-line, and applying a central frequency threshold to the average. The leftmost of the qualifying A-lines, i.e.

Abstract: A physical uncloneable function (PUF) pattern is used for verifying a physical condition of an item. The PUF pattern is arranged to be damaged in the event that said item is exposed to a predetermined environmental condition. Verification of the physical condition of the item, is carried out by obtaining a measured response from the PUF pattern, and comparing the measured response with a stored response in respect of the PUF.

Abstract: An improved method that incorporates a user interface for a defibrillator (100) capable of being used with paddle electrodes (180) and adhesive pad electrodes (190). A shock delivery button (110) located on the defibrillator control panel delivers a shock through the pad electrodes. A second shock delivery button (210), located on the paddle electrodes, delivers a shock through the paddle electrodes. Both shock delivery buttons are configured with the same shape, operation and illumination in order to reduce user confusion.

Abstract: Systems and methods for predicting shape are provided. A system for predicting shape can include a database, a training analysis module, a subject analysis module, and a prediction module. The database can store two sets of training models characterized by first and second parameters, respectively (e.g., bone and cartilage), as well as a subject model characterized by the first parameter (e.g., a bone model). The relationships between these models can be determined by a training analysis module and a subject module. Based on these relationships, the prediction module can generate a predicted shape characterized by the second parameter (e.g., a predicted cartilage model corresponding to the bone model).
