  • Patent number: 10345427
Abstract: A method for tracking the navigation of a mobile carrier, in which an extended Kalman filter estimates, over successive iterations, a navigation state of the carrier. Each iteration propagates a previous navigation state of the carrier into a propagated state, updates the propagated state according to measurements acquired by at least one navigation sensor. The updating includes: calculating a linear correction term from an innovation representative of a difference between the measurements acquired by the navigation sensor and the propagated state, calculating an exponential of the linear correction in terms of a Lie group, calculating a first correction term expressed in a reference frame that is fixed relative to the carrier, calculating a second correction term expressed in an inertial reference frame in which the carrier is mobile, and adding the second correction term to the value of the variable contained in the propagated state.

  • Patent number: 10342936
Abstract: The present disclosure pertains to a system and method for monitoring usage of a respiratory medicament delivery device. Regular use of a respiratory medicament delivery device at intervals prescribed by a doctor may be critical to a subject's health. The system described herein is configured to monitor usage of a respiratory medicament delivery device such that manual tracking of a patient's adherence to a dosage plan by a doctor, for example, is not required. Monitoring usage of the medicament device delivery device may allow the doctor to judge the adherence of the subject to the dosage plan and encourage increased adherence. Improved adherence by the subject may result in improvement in the condition of the subject and economic benefits including reducing costs associated with re-hospitalization after discharge. In some embodiments, the system comprises a medicament delivery device and a usage event monitoring device.

  • Patent number: 10346823
Abstract: Methods and systems for activating an electronic payments infrastructure employ, for example, a token consisting at least in part of a unique identifier assigned to an inactive header account which is provided on a customer's electronic device. The unique identifier is processable via a transaction processing network. A request, which includes customer information, is received to verify that activation of the header account for the customer is compliant with predefined customer identification rules. A determination is made that activation of the header account for the customer is compliant with the predefined customer identification rules. An activation message is sent to the customer's device using the interface processor, the header account is linked to a digital wallet on a database, and the customer's designation of a source account for the digital wallet is received on the database. The header account can be used in transactions with either on-us or off-us source accounts.

  • Patent number: 10348939
Abstract: Detecting the presence of a television signal embedded in a received signal including the television signal and noise. Either first-order or second order cyclostationary property of the signals may be used for their detection. When the first-order cyclostationary property is used, the received signal is upsampled by a factor of N, a synchronous averaging of a set of M segments of the upsampled received signal is performed, an autocorrelation of the signal is performed; and the presence of peaks in the output of the autocorrelation function is detected. When the second order cyclostationary property of the signal is used, the received signal is delayed by a fixed delay (symbol time), the received signal is multiplied with the delayed version, and a tone (single frequency) in the output is detected.

  • Patent number: 10343389
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an improved method for supporting an object made by means of stereo lithography or any other rapid prototype production method. The generation of the support begins by determining the region that requires support in each layer of the object and defines a number of support points in this region. In a next step, a support mesh is generated connected to the object using these support points. The present invention also discloses different techniques that reduce superfluous edges to further optimize the support mesh. Finally, a support is generated from this support mesh. The present invention may facilitate the generation of supports data by employing more automation and less user analysis.

  • Patent number: 10345407
Abstract: The invention provides for a method of operating a magnetic resonance system for acquiring magnetic resonance data (152) from a phantom (124) within a measurement (zone 108). The phantom comprises a known volume of at least one predetermined substance ((128), 130). The method comprises the step of acquiring (300) the magnetic resonance data by controlling the magnetic resonance system with pulse sequence instructions (150). The pulse sequence instructions cause the magnetic resonance system to acquire the magnetic resonance data according to a magnetic resonance fingerprinting technique. The pulse sequence instructions specify a train of pulse sequence repetitions. Each pulse sequence repetition has a repetition time chosen from a distribution of repetition times. Each pulse sequence repetition comprises a radio frequency pulse chosen from a distribution of radio frequency pulses. The distribution of radio frequency pulses cause magnetic spins to rotate to a distribution of flip angles.

  • Patent number: 10348539
Abstract: A frequency demodulated signal includes a frequency modulation in time that is shifted by a DC level corresponding to a carrier frequency offset. A number of different frequency offsets are applied to the frequency demodulated signal to generate a corresponding number of offset frequency demodulated signals. Each offset frequency demodulated signal is correlated against a reference signal and a determination is made as to which correlation produces a highest correlation value. One offset frequency demodulated signal of the number of offset frequency demodulated signals is then selected for output as an offset corrected frequency demodulated signal. The selected signal is the one having the highest correlation value.
