    Abstract: A rotary member as a one way clutch including an outer ring formed in its inner periphery with axial grooves each formed on its bottom with a cam surface tapered in one of the opposite directions of rotation, an outer member fixedly mounted on the outer ring and having an end wall for closing one end of the grooves, rolling elements received in the grooves and a closure member adapted to close the other end of the grooves and integrally provided on its inner surface with positioning members and biasing members adapted to be received in the grooves. The positioning members serve to hold the closure member in a fixed position relative to the outer ring. The biasing members serve to bias the rolling elements into narrower side of the cam surfaces. The grooves may have their bottom recessed to receive the positioning members therein. The closure member will thus be positively prevented from turning relative to the outer ring.

A sensor including a Hall IC is mounted in the outer member at such a position as to face the pulse ring. The pulse ring rotates with the inner members to allow the sensor to detect the rotational speed of the wheel.

    Abstract: An autotensioner includes a cylinder having its bottom closed and filled with a hydraulic oil and air, an oil seal mounted in the cylinder to seal the hydraulic oil and air, a rod slidably extending through the oil seal, and a piston slidably mounted in the cylinder with its top end abutting the bottom of the rod. The interior of the cylinder is separated into an upper reservoir chamber and a lower pressure chamber by the piston. Both chambers communicate with each other through a channel formed in the piston. The rod is biased by a spring mounted in the reservoir chamber in such a direction as to protrude from the cylinder. A check valve is provided in the pressure chamber near the bottom of the piston to open the channel in the piston only when the pressure in the pressure chamber is lower than the pressure in the reservoir chamber. The cylinder may have an outer casing and an inner sleeve so that the piston can slide on the inner surface of the sleeve.

    Abstract: An autotensioner for adjusting the tension of a timing belt used with an automotive engine. It includes a cylinder case filled with a hydraulic oil, a piston partitioning the interior of the cylinder case into a pressure chamber and a reservoir chamber and a push rod having its bottom end coupled to the piston and the top end adapted to protrude from the cylinder case. A spring is provided to bias the piston and the push rod upwardly. The pressure chamber communicates with the reservoir chamber through a channel formed through the piston. A plate-shaped check valve is provided in the pressure chamber to open and close the bottom of the channel. The plate-shaped valve can respond quickly to the fluctuation of pressure in the pressure chamber because of its reduced mass.

It includes a tension pulley pressed against the belt, an eccentric shaft extending through the tension pulley to rotatably support it and formed with a hole arranged eccentrically from the axis of the tension pulley, an actuator having a cylinder and a push rod silidably mounted in the cylinder and having its one end protruding from the cylinder and butting a projection fixed to the eccentric shaft, a bolt extending through the hole in the eccentric shaft and the cylinder of the actuator to pivotally support the eccentric shaft and a spring for biasing the eccentric shaft to pivot it in such a direction as to increase the tension of the belt. The spring may be a torsion coil spring mounted around the eccentric shaft with its one end fixed to the outer periphery of the eccentric shaft and the other end fixed to the cylinder of the actuator.

    Abstract: A clutch having an outer member, an inner member mounted in the outer member, a cage interposed between the outer and inner members and cam elements movably mounted in pockets formed in the cage. Torque-setting elastic members are provided between the cage and one of the inner and outer members so that while the torque on the elastic member is smaller than a preset value, they will rotate in unison with some clearance left therebetween in the direction of rotation. When the torque on the elastic member gets larger than the preset value, the elastic member deforms to allow the cage to turn relative to the member engaged therewith. Now, the cam elements are pushed by the cage into engagement with both cam surfaces formed on the inner periphery of the outer member and the outer periphery of the inner member, thus brining the two members into engagement.

    Abstract: An auto-tensioner for a belt has a cylindrical body having a bottom. A nut formed with female threads on its inner periphery and having a rod integrally formed at one end is slidably mounted in the body. A bolt is mounted in the body so that its male threads will engage the female threads on the nut. A belt loading spring is mounted between the nut and the bottom of the body to urge the nut in such a direction as to increase the tension to the belt. A bolt turning spring is mounted between the nut and the bolt to urge and turn the bolt in such a direction as to be pressed against the bottom of the body or in a direction away from the nut. Thus the nut and the bolt are moved either toward or away from each other according to the load from the belt which acts on the rod so as to automatically adjust the tension to the belt.

This arrangement gives the effects of providing a low, stable torque for the bearing and of improving the seal performance of the bearing. This conductive rolling bearing is used in a steering assembly of an automobile and bearing assemblies having a bearing near electrical devices.

On the homokinetic joint lubricated with the grease according to the present invention, the axial force produced is reduced and vibrations generated on the engine are absorbed. The vehicle is prevented from vibrating. The use of an expensive organic metallic extreme-pressure additive is unnecessary.
