Patents Assigned to N.V. PWN Waterleidingbedrijf Noord-Holland
  • Patent number: 10159917
Abstract: A filter device includes a housing with an end part and a side wall and containing an axially arranged array of filter elements, such as ceramic elements. An inlet in the end part supplies fluid to the filter elements and an outlet in the side wall is provided for transporting filtered fluid from the housing, the side wall of the filter device being provided with a cleaning duct for supplying cleaning fluid to the filter elements via the side wall. The cleaning duct 6 includes a distal channel portion 15 having a relatively small diameter D1 and a proximal portion 16 adjacent the side wall having a relatively large diameter D2. A number of partitions 36, 37 extend in the proximal portion from a position at or near the sidewall towards the distal channel portion 15 at an angle (?) to a center line 20 of the cleaning duct 6.

  • Patent number: 9789425
Abstract: A filter device includes a filter vessel with a fluid inlet for unfiltered liquid, a filter element in the filter vessel with a filter inlet communicating with the vessel and with a filter outlet, the filter outlet communicating via a cleaning duct and a cleaning valve with a cleaning device, the cleaning device including a cleaning chamber including a volume V0 of cleaning fluid and a pressure chamber at a starting pressure P0, communicating with the cleaning chamber for supplying cleaning fluid to the filter outlet, via the cleaning duct, a fluid supply line connected via a pump to the cleaning chamber for supplying a volume Vr of cleaning fluid to the cleaning chamber while the cleaning chamber is in open fluid connection with the pressure chamber and the cleaning valve is closed so that the pressure in the pressure chamber rises to at or about the starting pressure P0.

  • Publication number: 20150129503
Abstract: Method of removing dissolved organic carbons from raw water, containing suspended and/or colloidal matter in a suspended ion exchange process, includes: feeding the water into a plug flow reactor at a rate of at least 500 m3/h, adding an anion exchange material to the liquid at the inlet of the reactor, suspending the anion exchange material in the water, transporting the water and the suspended anion exchange material under plug flow conditions to an outlet of the reactor after a predetermined residence time, feeding the water and the suspended anion exchange material to a separator and feeding treated water and anion exchange material from a reactor outlet to a separator, wherein the concentration of the anion exchange material in the reactor is smaller than 20 ml/l, and the residence time of the anion exchange material in the reactor is lower 30 minutes.
