  • Patent number: 7635306
Abstract: A compact tripod type constant velocity joint with double roller type roller units capable of preventing plastic deformation of snap rings in assembling. In each of the roller units, an outer roller has an inner diameter ‘Do’ of 26.4 mm or less. The inner diameter ‘Do’ (mm) of the outer roller, a groove depth ‘Depth’ (mm) of engaging grooves formed on the outer roller and an outer diameter ‘Ds’ (mm) of the snap rings satisfy the formula below. Then, in a state where the snap rings are seated in the engaging grooves, diametrical gaps of 0.1 mm or more are formed between outer peripheral ends of the snap rings and groove bottoms of the engaging groove. Do+2×Depth?Ds?0.1.

  • Patent number: 6315504
Abstract: An improved twist drill is provided which reduces wear or chippings of the major cutting edges (3) and those of the leading edges (7) of land (9) and which has a long service life and stays sharp. A twist drill has a pair of chip discharge flutes (6), a pair of chisel edges (1), a pair of inner cutting edges (2) and a pair of major cutting edges (3) extending from each outer end of the inner cutting edges (2). Further, the drill has a pair of outer cutting edges (4) each receding from each of the major cutting edges (3) at an angle (&agr;1), and a pair of leading edges (7) of lands (9) each formed by the land (9) and the outer cutting edge (4) and has a linear or curved rake face (8). Wherein, an angle (&agr;4) of the leading edge (7) of land (9) between the leading edge (7) of the land (9) between the leading edge (7) of the land (9) and the linear or curved rake face (8) is an obtuse angle.

  • Patent number: 5918495
Abstract: A multistage gear-rolling apparatus of the present invention comprises a roller squeezing apparatus including a roughing roller die and a finishing roller die disposed coaxially and connected in series in an axial direction of said roughing roller die. The roughing roller die is used for carrying out a hot rough-rolling step. The finishing roller die is used for a warm finish-rolling step. Thus, immediately after the hot rough-rolling step, the warm finish-rolling step can be carried out without a reset of workpiece.

  • Patent number: 5883355
Abstract: A method of adjusting a clamping force for automatically correcting a reference clamping force(Fi) vs. electric reference supply current(Ii) table for a servo-controlled welding gun on which a workpiece is clamped. The clamping force vs. electric current table is generated based on servo motor and welding gun design specifications, and stored in memory. A proportional coefficient(k) between the supply currents(Ii) and the clamping forces(Fi) is calculated from this table. Each reference supply current(Ii) in the table is actually supplied to the servo motor to measure an actual clamping force(fi). The actual clamping force(fi) is compared with the corresponding reference clamping force(Fi) for each reference supply current(Ii) in the table. If the absolute value of a difference between the actual and reference clamping forces(.vertline.Fi-fi.vertline.

  • Patent number: 5007773
Abstract: A helical toothed shaving cutter used for finishing or shaving of gears as well as a shaving cutter suitable for plunge cut shaving. The shaving cutter includes a multiplicity of ribs forming the cutter tooth flanks, arranged in a manner substantially symmetrically with respect to each axial centerline of each of the cutter teeth, and each of the ribs has both a positive rake angle at its leading cutting edge and a negative rake angle at its trailing cutting edge as viewed in the direction of lateral sliding direction of along the tooth trace cutter.

  • Patent number: 4952354
Abstract: A method for degating an injection molded article comprising the steps of filling a mold cavity with a molten resin and cooling the mold to effect gate seal. A gate cut shaft member is oscillated after gate seal is completed to soften the hardened resin in the gate. The gate cut shaft member is then displaced with respect to the mold cavity when the resin is softened to effect degating. A second method comprises the steps of cutting the gate in the molded article by sliding the gate cut shaft member during the dwell process with respect to the mold cavity after filling the mold with molten resin and before gate seal is effected. While said gate cut shaft member is subject to minute oscillation or a slow reciprocating motion, the shaft surface is abutted against the degated surface to obtain a good cut surface on the molded article.
