Abstract: A tubular border frame for inner spring assemblies is disclosed. The border frame includes an opening defined by a pair of inwardly directed lips adapted to receive and secure the coil springs. Straight and corner connectors are provided for joining the sections of the frame to form a complete border surrounding the springs.
Abstract: A spring clip for interconnecting coil springs with tie wires to maintain the coil springs in spaced lengthwise and crosswise rows in the spring assembly, in which the clip member spans the adjacent chords of the terminal coils of the coil springs and receives the adjacent tie wires and the adjacent portions of the terminal coils of the coil springs in respective inwardly and outwardly facing channels with a tongue for leading the clip member into the assembled relation.
Abstract: A spring assembly in which use is made of a grid of crisscrossing wires which extend through a plastic button at their cross-over points to intertie the wires in a manner to prevent relative movements without metal to metal contact and in which the buttons embody grooves dimensioned to receive terminal portions of spring members for suspending the spring members therefrom in the assembled relation.
Abstract: A torsion spring assembly in which the means for mounting the bail portion of the torsion spring to a supporting frame comprises an elongate strip having a bore extending lengthwise therethrough dimensioned to receive the bail portion in seated relation therein, an entrant portion communicating with the bore for guiding the bail into the bore, and slots extending crosswise in the strip spaced one from the other longitudinally in a pair to correspond with the spaced relation between the bar supporting side arms of the torsion spring.
