Abstract: A device for fastening a gripper on a gripper shaft of a textile machine, in particular a sewing machine, preferably a multi-needle sewing machine, with a support element for the gripper is described. The support element for the gripper is connected to a holder or the gripper shaft via a connecting element in such a way that the support element for the gripper is detachable from the holder or the gripper shaft. The connecting element is designed as a toggle screw or locking mechanism such that the toggle screw rotatably engages through a bore in the support element into a corresponding opening in the holder or the gripper shaft, engaging behind an abutment, or the locking mechanism is designed as a positive connection between the support element and the holder.

Abstract: A multiple needle sewing machine. The sewing machine includes a needle head, a first needle and a second needle both coupled to the head, a drive mechanism, a gripper shaft, and a first gripper hook and a second gripper hook both coupled to the gripper shaft. The drive mechanism is configured to translate the first needle together with the second needle, and to individually translate only one of the first needle or the second needle.

Abstract: The invention relates to a chain stitch sewing machine comprising stitch-forming sewing elements including at least one needle head (1) and needles (6) arranged on the needle head and at least one gripper shaft and gripper hooks arranged on the gripper shaft, wherein the needles (6) and the gripper hooks respectively form a sewing element pair and are driven in a manner such as to perform preferably chain stitches and especially double chain stitches in a sewing material arranged on a sewing material support, respectively using a needle thread and a gripper thread.

Abstract: A sewing machine, particularly a multi-needle sewing machine, includes at least one sewing arrangement which includes a reciprocating needle mounted on a needle holding arrangement and a gripper mounted on a gripper holding arrangement for angular displacement along a displacement plane and operative for engaging a thread delivered by the needle through the material being sewn to a predetermined region beyond the material. As the material is advanced, especially transversely of the displacement plane, during the sewing stroke of the needle, it acts on the needle and deviates the same from its initial course.
