Abstract: A flow indicator for use in conjunction with a flow meter which imparts a rotational movement to a shaft in response to the fluid flow rate through the flow meter, wherein the flow indicator includes a pointer attached to the shaft which provides a visual indication of the flow rate through the flow meter. The shaft is biased in one rotational direction by a suspended weight which is attached by a flexible member to a pulley secured to the shaft. An electrical switch is also provided within the flow indicator housing and is actuated by movement of the weight.
