  • Patent number: 7460770
Abstract: An underwater housing for containing a monitoring device includes a tubular housing body having a front end formed with an inward flange. The inward flange has a rear side surface formed with an annular groove defined by a groove-defining wall. A transparent plate is disposed fixedly within the housing body, and is located behind and adjacent to the inward flange. An annular water seal is disposed within the annular groove and in contact with the inward flange and an outer peripheral portion of the front side surface of the transparent plate so as to establish a watertight seal between the transparent plate and the housing body. An annular cover is disposed fixedly and fittingly within the inward flange, and has a rear end in contact with the front side surface of the transparent plate and in proximity to the water seal for covering the water seal.

  • Publication number: 20060284791
Abstract: An augmented reality system with mobile and interactive functions for multiple users includes two major portions: a computer system for handling augmented reality functions, and a user system for each user. The computer system for handling augmented reality functions has very powerful functionality for processing digital image data and transforming the digital image data into a three-dimensional virtual image for each user system. The user system mainly includes a Head-Mounted Display (HMD), a microphone and a PDA. A user can see the virtual image from the HMD and use the microphone or the PDA for communication with other users.

  • Publication number: 20060039288
Abstract: A network status monitoring and warning method is disclosed. A test packet is transmitted intermittently to a test host. The IP addresses of all connected devices that transmit this test packet are extracted as the path data to be compared with expert data. The different addresses are considered as the address of those devices with problems. Alarms are then sent to those problematic devices in order to maintain an optimized path connection status. Therefore, the service interruption time for all connection devices can be reduced and the network is always maintained at its best connection status.
